We were in this big mansion bigger than the last one I was at. Suzy kept close behind me as we walked blindly through the house trying to find any sign of Abel.
That night I remember vividly and he thinks I don't but I do. Every since then things have been different he gets stranger and stranger to me. He wasn't the same Abel but The Weeknd. He was who he sung about.
We followed the music and the many voices coming near the back of the house. I tried keeping her from the drinks they offered if it wasn't closed she didn't need to drink it.
" I thinks that's him right there." Suzy pointed to Abel standing in the corner with his XO girls.
I had semi gotten used to them being around him. They were apart of his image if you will.
I stood gazing at him with intensity in my gaze. But I didn't dwell I just walked away and mingled with the people around. His mentor was standing alone watching the room. His demeanor perked up as he saw me.
I recognized him as one of the people that night in the lower level of that mansion. It brought back vivid memories that I couldn't let escape me. His stare was making me uncomfortable so I continued to walk around.
Suzy gawked at everyone that looked familiar. I didn't know any of them and didn't think it was good for her to get to know them. I felt like we were in the Lions den. We got stares some linger longer than I liked.
His mentor made his way to the pulpit to speak. I stood in the back away from the lights I felt uneasy around these people. I wished I hadn't let Suzy talk me into coming.
I barely listened to him as he spoke. A few minutes later Abel joined him. I took my attention completely away and whispered to Suzy that I had to go to the bathroom.
I looked around trying to find the bathroom and kept running into bedrooms. Like seriously how much sleep does one person need for the amount of bedrooms. I was growing irritated by the second. Then finally a bathroom.
It was breathtaking it was as big as my bedroom and bathroom put together and I have pretty big bedroom. A claw foot tub sat in the middle of the floor. The double vanity had gold sinks with beautiful Quarts countertops. I was in awe.
I stared in the oversized mirror checking my makeup. I wanted to stay here until the party was over bit Suzy was waiting for me.
I headed to the door and there he stood. Drake with a devious smile across his face.
" Excuse me. I was just leaving out." I said trying to pass by him.
He pushed his chest into me making me stumble backwards.
" So your Abel's new toy." He said insulting me.
"Yea every dog gets tired of playing with the same toy." I shrieked.
He chuckled lightly and let me pass by him.
"Oh yea I need a FA to build me a portfolio. I heard you were the best." He smiled coyly.
"Get my number from Abel."I said in the nicest way possible.
I left without another word.
Suzy was drinking with a buzz. It was definitely time to go.
Drake stood by the pulpit and raised his drink as we walked out the door.
We made it back to my place and I helped her out of the car. Abel was pulling up behind us. I ignored him and made my way into the house laying her on the couch. I walked into my bedroom throwing my heels in the closet. Abel followed me in the room closing the door behind him. Once again the look was in his eyes.
