I sat barely listening to my client Valerie as she babbled on about the changes she needed to be made to her package that took 3 days to put together. This was the part of my job that I hated then to sit and listen to them talk about how this works better for them when I thought I was the professional. She noticed the distant gaze I had in my eyes.

"Hey Abigail is everything ok? You look like your bored or have something on your mind." She asked with concern. I looked at her with a fake refreshed smile. "Oh no. I'm just putting together a particular package in my head that I think you'll be satisfied with." I said picking up my glass of water to wash down the lie that I just told. I wanted nothing more than to tell her how bored I was listening to her revise my work. But I bit my tongue which hurt and kept it professional. She nodded her head and handed over the list which was damn near a book of things she wanted. I accepted the paperwork and she exited the table as I silently cheered on her departure. Soon after I gathered my new crocodile faux leather handbag brief case and headed home. Tomorrow I was going to be interviewing a few people. I needed an assistant bad I had 8 clients and a few more prospects to present my services to.

Once I walked into the house I put my bag and blazer on the hook. I hated wearing heels they made my feet feel like I was walking on pins and needles when I took them off. I slowly and painfully walked to the other side of the kitchen to put my phone and laptop on the charger. "Abby you need to invest in a tablet. That damn laptop is to heavy to be transporting around." I said aloud to myself. The mail sat sprawled out on the floor from the door slot mailbox. Barely wanting to move I slowly walked over to the door to retrieve it cursing myself for missing it when I came in. There were a few pieces of junk mail and two checks from him and another client. I threw them on the counter next to the others making a mental note to upload them to my account once my phone charged.

After my shower I laid in bed for a few minutes as I thought about ordering Chinese food. Suzy popped in my head I hadn't talked or seen her since that night. She was pretty damn mad at me for leaving her and then lying to her about why I left. I hated when she was mad at me but whenever she wanted to talk I'd gladly listen. I sat up in bed as I knew he was standing near me. I had been avoiding him I didn't know if he knew why but I wasn't taking anymore chances with him. I'd put on pajama pants just to keep him from trying anything. He wouldn't say anything to me just stare for a while then leave.

I got up off the bed and walked over to the dresser to put on some clothes. He pushed the drawer closed and grabbed my hand. I snatched it away and wrapped my towel around me snuggly. I heard him snicker before my towel was unwrapped and hitting the floor. My eyes rolled in my head and I turned around to face him. He wasn't high or at least I couldn't tell but I smelled his cologne and vodka that snuck through his pours.

"I don't want you here. You are no longer welcome in my house or my life. I'm dropping you from my client list I have enough clients. But I just want you out of my life for good." I said turning back around to get my clothes. This time he didn't try to stop me. As I put my pants on he grabbed my left breast and my right hand pushing me to the corner of the bathroom door. I pushed with my free hand but he didn't budge.

"St-st-stop. Just leave." I said inbetween faint whispers as I tried to ignore my body's betrayal. He stopped and looked into my eyes with a stern look and a smile pulling at the corners of his mouth. Just seeing him smiling made the images of him and another woman replaying in my head. I pushed him out of my way and put my shirt on leaving him in the middle of the room. I ignored him and went to order my food hoping he was leaving. My hormones were raging after that mini clip and all I could do was breath trying to keep the scene of him and her but they were replaced with pictures of us. Not wanting to hold back any longer I ran into my room. I looked around for him but he was gone. So I thought.
