They finally let me go home and Abel made sure to come home after each show. He still drank in celebration but he wouldn't go over two drinks. I seen his withdrawals from the drugs but he fought them as hard as he could. But him and Valerie have yet to part ways and I wasn't going to push him I had to walk with patience. As much as I despised her I had to tread lightly or I would push him into her arms. She still threw her parties at the Hotel and he would call or text me to come pick him up. He'd show his face for a few moments but he would come down to the car and drive home with me.
At this very second I was looking at myself in the mirror in my white Sedora crowl neck floor length gown and high pinned curls. Tonight was his night he was being awarded tonight as "Best New Artist", Best Collaborating Artist, Artist of the Year and Viewers Choice. I stood and listened as the sounds of the crowd and host. I hated being around Drake and Valerie he kept burning holes through me and she kept giving me evil glares. But I tried my best to ignore the both of them and support Abel.
" You know if you weren't pregnant he wouldn't be with you. Maybe fuck you from time to time but he wouldn't be the way he's been." Valerie snarled slyly as she stood behind me.
Tell me how should i feel when i what i know. She was excited by the flame and couldn't see through the smoke. I was six months pregnant and beating her ass would only give me the best orgasm ever. But I eyed her evenly not letting her get a rise out of me.
" Enjoy your evening and I hope you guys have a safe tour." I said walking out of the bathroom.
Abel smiled as I walked back to my seat. He kissed my forehead as Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj took the stage. He held me as I danced on him enjoying the show I was feeling good seeing him smile made me even happier. His success was all his and the people that believed in him. As the two on stage closed their performance Abel kissed me and went backstage to get ready for his performance.
Valerie went with him I stared until they disappeared out of view.
My attention turned back to the host of the night as he made jokes. The celebration was amazing and I was in awe of being apart of it. The lights dimed as the fog of smoke came through the floor.
The beat to his new song "Earned It" blared throughout the building. I personally felt connected to this song because he wrote it while I was in the hospital.
You make it look like it's magic
'Cause I see nobody, nobody but you, you, you
I'm never confused
Hey, hey
I'm so used to being used
So I love when you call unexpected
'Cause I hate when the moment's expected
So I'ma care for you, you, you
I'ma care for you, you, you, you, yeah
'Cause girl you're perfect
You're always worth it
And you deserve it
The way you work it
'Cause girl you earned it
Girl you earned it
You know our love would be tragic
So you don't pay it, don't pay it no mind
We live with no lies
Hey, hey
You're my favorite kind of night
I watched as he came and sung to me as he felt the words from his heart, he reached his hand out for me. He pulled me on stage and picked me up. He took me to a chair that sat in the middle. Valerie danced to the beat.
She came and danced in front of me eyeing sexually. She tore the dress down to my white negligee. We danced our performance and he stood eyeing me as I moved my hips to the beat. She caressed me a little to much for my liking but I went with the vibe.
So I love when you call unexpected
'Cause I hate when the moment's expected
So I'ma care for you, you, you
I'ma care for you, you, you, you, yeah
'Cause girl you're perfect
You're always worth it
And you deserve it
The way you work it
'Cause girl you earned it
Girl you earned it
He pushed against me until I sat back down in the chair. He started to kneel down on one knee. My heart sank into my stomach as he took a ring out.
"Will you marry me Abigail Marie Trotter!" He asked sweetly.
I covered my mouth and nodded with tears coming to the corners of my eyes. He placed a nice ring on my finger.
"Yes I will!" I kissed him gingerly.
He smiled and sang to me and the crowd stood to their feet and roared in excitment and joy. I felt so high that nobody was bringing me down
On that lonely night
You said it wouldn't be love
But we felt the rush
It made us believe it there was only us
Convinced we were broken inside, inside
I'm so used to being used
So I love when you call unexpected
'Cause I hate when the moment's expected
So I'ma care for you, you, you
I'ma care for you, you, you, you, yeah
'Cause girl you're perfect
You're always worth it
And you deserve it
The way you work it
'Cause girl you earned it
Girl you earned it
He kissed me again and we both bowed to the crowd. Valerie stood in the shadows fuming over the unscripted marriage proposal.
Without our knowledge a demon in the flesh was planning her next move. The betrayal that hit her was more dangerous than our sick twisted love. She had a raging heat deep within her that was ready to burst into flames. Our love held the smoke screen for her devious plans.
But how could she be mad at me. Yeah I had the ring. True enough she invested in him, but in the same breath she was destroying him. I gave him more in 10 months than she could ever give him in 10 years. I was there to save him from her mass destruction. So yeah I have the right to say I....EARNED IT.
The ring the sacred marriage and what she couldn't control or rightfully claim with all the monetary investing couldn't pay for that mattered most of all was...his heart. I had worked my ass off, shed so many tears, went through sleepless nights, loved him through everything, and damn near killed us both. So yeah it was mines and I didn't need to vindicate my position because the best woman won.
