Akshita's pov:

"I just slept and it's already morning" I woke up a bit irritated and paste towards the window to close it the sunlight coming from which was disturbing me

I rubbed my eyes which were still red from the crying last night

"Where are Mahima and Vishnu why didn't they come' I thought to myself anticipating my friends as soon as I wake up because it's they are daily routine now and since I got to down and had a breakup with my boyfriend from 4 years

I never thought but even Anisha was supportive when I got cheated on,
Iam out of my room to find Vishnu and Mahima that's when I heard some giggling from mahima's room

And I went in what I saw was most certainly not something to be liked by me they are laughing and giving when I am this miserable i thought and anger took over me but i composed my self and enquired

"Mahima,you look so pretty, are you going somewhere?"

"No actu-"

"Akshita finally Jagjit is meeting her she is going on a date i can't tell excited I am" Said vishnu

"Come join us let's talk" vishnu invited me with her usual stupidly happy face

"Vishnuuuuu" anisha tried to hush vishnu

"No it's ok" i faked a smile

So ,where are you planning to meet??? I asked trying to look normal

"He is coming here in an hour" she informed

"I am excited to meet my brother in law" ,i stretched my fake smile to a brighter version of it

Anisha looked at me suspiciously

Mahima smiled but was uneasy about my enthusiasm, she interrupted by saying "Actually he is a private person and would not be comfortable in meeting you"

"Why??? I advised you initially, so I am the reason,you both are together today" i said now a bit frustrated

"No you are no-" Anisha was countering me but Mahima intervened

"You are but he said he doesn't want to meet you all today so...." mahima said and felt said and i understood what to do an evil smirk appeared on my face which immediately shifted to a concerned look

"Tell me mahima, is he ashamed of you in any way" i asked in a concerned tone

"What!!!" Mahima said in a voice laced with offence and surprise

"I mean he is a well reputed officer and you are still a nobody, maybe he just doesn't want to be seen with you" i immitated my concerned look from earlier

I always knew that she has insecurities about her career and looks and i used it today sorry mahima but not sorry i thought while looking at her with a concerned expression

She seemed to question herself and the relationship a bit and said a not so sure "no thats not-"

"Thats not the case" anisha countered
