Over the course of the next few days, Thomas gets bossed around by the bigger engines. First, Henry asks Thomas to bring his coaches for him to platform 2, then Geoffrey asks Thomas to get him his trucks in the yard, and then James asks Thomas to fetch his coaches and trucks for him. Alfred and Crovan also boss Thomas around by asking him to bring them their coaches. One night, Thomas is incredibly fed up, coming back into Tidmouth sheds.

Absolutely terrible. Over the past few days I've been treated like I'm a station pilot!
Edward
But I thought you pulled short passenger and goods trains.
Thomas
I do. Those big engines have been asking me to fetch coaches & trucks for them over the past few days! I'm fed up!
Edward
I'm sorry to hear that.
Thomas
And besides, aren't Jinty & Pug the station pilots?!
Edward
Yes. You should go and talk to them tomorrow in the yard, if that makes you feel better.
Thomas
Yes. I will.
