Later that evening, Edward came with the breakdown train to get Thomas out.

My word, Thomas, what happened here?
Thomas
The trucks were pushing me beyond my control and I crashed into this building.
Edward
Sounds like you have a lot to learn about trucks, Thomas. They tend to misbehave and it's important to keep them in control when you're working with them. They can cause serious accidents too.
Thomas
I know... I shouldn't have been overconfident to think I knew how to handle silly trucks.
Edward
Alright, enough chattering. I have to get you out.
Thomas is hooked up to the heavy cranes, and he gets hauled back onto the tracks. Once he is back on the tracks, Edward buffers the cranes up to him and takes him back to the sheds. Sir Topham Hatt is there waiting for them.
Sir Topham Hatt
Well done, Edward, now leave the breakdown train in the nearby shed. Thomas here needs to go to the repair shop in Vicarstown to get fixed up.
Edward
Right away, sir!
Edward runs around to the back of the breakdown train and couples up to the back of Thomas. Thomas is uncoupled and Edward pushes him away to the repair shop.
