Thomas and Edward are awake with all the other engines. Once Thomas has enough steam, he announces the news to his fellow engines.
Thomas
I'm going out to pull a goods train today!
Henry
Take care. The troublesome trucks are very troublesome. I think a little tank engine like you would have zero chance on them.
The other engines burst out in laughter, except Edward.
Thomas
Yes I would! Just you wait and see.
Thomas rushes off to the yard to get his trucks. As he trundles into the yard, he sees a line of trucks and vans all ready to go. The trucks appear to be laughing their heads off. Thomas is confused.
Thomas
Excuse me, where are you guys supposed to be going? And what's so funny?
Truck 1
Shut up, engine! We're waiting to go somewhere!
Jinty trundles into one of the sidings.
Jinty
Hello, Thomas! There's your train!
Thomas
What are these laughing trucks that you gave me?
Jinty
They're the only ones that I could find.
Thomas
They seem annoying... But couple me up.
Thomas couples up to the giggling trucks. Thomas whistles and puffs away with his train. The trucks do not want to go yet.
Truck 1
Wait! We're not ready!
Truck 2
Stop!
Thomas
Come along now, don't give me nonsense.
Truck 3
Oh, we'll give you nonsense!
Thomas
Pah!
Thomas puffs through Knapford station and onto the mainline. The trucks get more and more annoyed because Thomas refuses to listen to them and wouldn't stop.
Thomas
Come along now, I don't want to be late!
