Iori was amused to see Kay and Najd march up, the former looking angry.
"This should be good," Rock remarked, adjusting himself to be more comfortable.
Iori pointed to where Kula sat with Chris as soon as the cousins neared them. Without a word, Kay went towards them and parked himself beside Kula.
"Dash!" Kula exclaimed excitedly, hugging Kay's arm. "You're here too!"
"Yeah, we grew bored at Chess," Kay casually said, leaning forward slightly to look at Chris. "Hey. Chris, is it?"
Chris nodded, a sweet smile on his face. "Yep! Kay, right? We met in detention."
"Yeah, for the detention you got for hurting my friend," Kay leaned back to look at Iori. He turned back to Chris. "Anyway, what's up?"
"Just in a break from basketball since the other team is playing," Chris said. "Kula was here too so I decided to just join her."
Kay didn't even listen. "Yeah, whatever." He turned to Kula. "So, since you're free, wanna go get some yoghurt from the vending machine?"
Kula enthusiastically nodded and got up, pulling Kay's arm as well. "Yay!"
Iori watched in surprise as the two of them left and turned to Rock. "You wanna go loitering around for a while too?"
Rock shrugged and got up. "Better than sitting here and do nothing."
The two of them left too, leaving Chris to watch Isolde and Zayn happily chat and play around. In a few seconds, however, he spotted Shermie come up, grinning as she waved at him.

Iori and Rock met up with an excited Kula and Kay at the foyer vending machine and decided to get something too.
"I want the strawberry flavour," Kula said, clutching at Kay's arm.
Kay nodded and pressed the button for that flavour. The bottle dropped into the pick-up chute and Kula excitedly crouched to take it. Kay smiled at her before choosing the natural flavour for himself.
"Do they have strawberry flavour?" Iori remarked, scanning the bottles behind the glass. He sighed when he realised that Kula bought the last one. "Well, I'll just get the mixed berries one."
"I think I'll get the chocolate one..." Rock remarked.
His friends turned to look at him in surprise.
"Who eats chocolate-flavoured yoghurt?" Kay said in surprise.
"Yeah, won't it like... taste weird or something?" Iori said in agreement.
Rock shook his head. "Nope. It actually tastes really good."
Iori shrugged and retrieved his yoghurt before stepping aside to let the blond get something too. Rock bought himself a chocolate-flavoured yoghurt and sat down at a table with the rest. They were chatting, until they were rudely interrupted by the sound of the vending machine ejecting a drink with a slam. They turned to see a girl with pigtails getting a drink and didn't think much of it.
"Hotaru-san!" Kula suddenly exclaimed, waving.
The girl turned around and waved at her with a smile. She realised how Kula was seated with a bunch of senior dudes and gave them a bow before seating herself at the table beside theirs.
Iori nudged Rock. "Look, she's drinking the chocolate flavour just like you."
"See, it does taste good," Rock smirked as he sipped his yoghurt. "You guys are the ones against it for some reason."
Kay suddenly noticed something golden peeking out of Hotaru's bag, almost like a living creature.
"There's something in her bag... I think she snuck a puppy to school," Kay whispered.
"She brings a puppy to school?" Rock said in surprise. "Well, I'm just glad that Andy isn't teaching her class, I guess. He would freak out."
"Andy-sensei is scared of dogs?" Kay said in surprise. "Now that's something I didn't see coming."
Whatever the creature was, suddenly leapt out of Hotaru's bag and rushed straight at them. Kula shrieked and leapt away, the rest flinched as well.
Especially when it landed right on Rock's lap. The others were surprised at how relaxed he seemed when he looked down at it. Turns out, the animal wasn't a puppy, but a ferret-like creature.
Rock place his yoghurt down on the table and slowly lifted the blond animal and stroked its silky fur before looking for Hotaru, who was already panicking beside him.
"He's adorable," Rock remarked as he passed the pet back to its owner. "What's his name?"
"Itokatsu," Hotaru smiled sheepishly as she gently retrieved her pet. "I'm sorry he came at you like that..." she squinted to read his name tag, "Rock-san. This usually never happens." She looked bewildered as she looked at Itokatsu, gently stroking his fur. "He's usually very shy and doesn't like strangers much too."
Rock shrugged. "Well, I guess I'm special, then."
"Please don't tell anyone about this," Hotaru said, her gaze scanning the crowd. "Especially not my brother, I'll get in serious trouble if he finds out."
She bowed and ran off after stuffing the animal into her bag.
"What is that thing anyway?" Kay asked.
"Looked like a possum," Kula added. "Or a rat..."
"I think it was a ferret?" Iori shrugged. "Looked like it... but I've never seen a blond ferret before." He snorted. "Actually, I've never even seen a ferret in general."
"That wasn't a possum, not ferret too," Rock said. "That was a marten."
Kay looked at him in surprise. "Mutton? Was that a baby goat?"
Iori burst into laughter. "Oh Dash... not mutton, it was a marten."
"Sounds the same to me," Kay shrugged.
"It's basically this little bear-like animal, that also looks like a ferret, but kinda sounds like a mouse... mixed with a bird," Rock described.
Iori poked his shoulder. "Can I ask, how do you know all of this?"
Rock shrugged. "I saw it in a documentary. My cousin was watching it and I sat to watch too because it was really cute."
"Your cousin... does he go to this school too?" Kay asked. "Because he and Zayn might be friends."
Rock nodded. "Yeah, he's right next door to our class."
"Hey, that's my cousin's class," Kay chuckled.
Iori snorted. "Speaking of which, did you just leave her behind at the bench?"
"Oh yeah!" Kay gasped. "And we abandoned our club too." But he shrugged. "Whatever, it's not like our teacher would even come. It's Ash's sister by the way."
Najd soon sauntered in, bored after being ditched by everyone. She frowned when she noticed how all of them were literally having a drinks party in the foyer. Without her.
"Dash, why did you call me to come along if you were just gonna ditch me and have drinks with your friends here?" Najd remarked, shaking her head. "And you left me behind..."
"Wanna join us for yoghurt?" Kay grinned.
Najd sighed and made her way to the vending machine to get herself some yoghurt before joining them.
"Rock, this is the cousin I told you about," Kay introduced. "Najd, my friend Rock. Rock, Najd."
"Hi," Najd smiled as she gave him a slight nod.
Rock smiled back. "Hello."
"Oh, and Rock said that his cousin is in your class too," Iori added.
"Your cousin?" Najd asked. "Who is it?"
"His name is Scott," Rock said. "Scott Patton?"
Najd smirked as she imagined the boy that fit that name. "Ah, Scott. He's your cousin?"
"Mhm," Rock nodded.
"I don't see any resemblance," Najd shook her head.
"Not all cousins look like peas in a pod like you guys, Najd," Iori added.
Najd nodded. "That makes sense. I've seen what Dash's paternal cousin looks like and... yeah..."
"Is this that burger guy?" Kula asked. "Because I hate him!"
"Burger guy?" Rock couldn't help but snort.
"His name is Krohnen McDougall," Kay said. "Kula keeps messing it up, saying McRonalds instead."
Iori burst into laughter. "Oh, that guy."
Kay nodded. "Yep. That guy."
"But yeah, Scott's nice," Najd said. "We're kinda close, he sits beside me. Always up to something fun."
Rock nodded, grinning. "Yeah, he's always doing something stupid. And he's really fond of animals. Oh! Like that marten we saw? He would've gone crazy if he was here."
"You guys saw... mutton?" Najd said in surprise.
The rest started laughing, with the exception of Kay.
"Dash said the exact same thing," Iori snorted. "It's a marten, Najd. Not mutton..."
"Speaking of mutton... Auntie Sarimah, Najd's mom, made us something called Kabsa for New Year's Day," Kay said. "Guys, it was amazing."
"Dude, stop making me think of food," Najd groaned. "I'm already starving here..."
"Then drink your yoghurt, dude," Kay countered, annoyed.
Rock snorted. "Yeah, I see why people think you're twins..."
"Agreed..." Iori nodded.

Hey guys! So Scott is in! I decided to make him and Rock cousins since they're as close as brothers in the other books anyway. It would be fun to make them cousins instead since it doesn't technically relate with the original storyline.
