"Hey, Kuma," Noda asked. "What did they tell you?"
"Uchi told me that they found several witnesses but they are afraid to come out and testify," Kuma feels bad.
"Did you tell Yankumi, yet?"Noda was about to dial on his phone.
"Oh yeah," Kuma thumbs up. "Uchi already called her before he called me earlier."
"And how about Shin? Any word from him yet?"Noda asked.
"Uh... about that, he hasn't contacted me in the past two days..."Kuma answered. "I wonder what he is up to. The last time we talk, he told me that he would be helping Yankumi about her student."
"Hmm... I wonder too. But Shin's a smart one so maybe he had an idea of how to solve this mess," Noda said.
"Yeah, hope so." Kuma agreed.

[ AT THE POLICE STATION ]
"Really? This isn't a joke, right?"Ren exclaimed and his voice filled with disbelief. He blinked rapidly, trying to process the unexpected news. His heart raced with excitement, but a part of him couldn't believe it was true.
"But... but how?" he stammered, still trying to wrap his head around the surprise.
"Yes, this is true."Yankumi answered."One of my former students, Uchiyama Haruhiko, called me and he said that they found some witnesses that saw what happened on that day of the incident."
"Does that mean I will be free soon? That I can go out again?"Ren showed a sign of hope and relief.
"I can't guarantee that yet,"Yankumi told the truth. "We need to convince them first to give their testimony to the police..."
"Oh."Ren's a bit disappointed.
"But don't worry too much. This is still good news for us,"Yankumi tried to cheer him up.
Ren gave her a forced smile. He knows that the problem is still not yet resolve. Anxiety grips him tightly, knotting his stomach with worry.
A police officer approach them suddenly."Sensei, your student will stay for awhile here, so he can be protected and he won't hide again."
"Wha – " Ren's anxiety intensifies as the police officer delivered the news that he'll need to stay at the station for the time being. Feeling overwhelmed, he seeks comfort from his teacher, unable to contain his fears.
"But he is still a minor, is this legal?"Yankumi tried to calm down.
"I understand your concern, Sensei. But this is for his own safety too. We will just need him to stay here for the time being while the case is still under investigation."The police officer explained. "Rest assured we will not include him with the other prisoners."
