The ride was quiet, with only the hum of the motorbike and the occasional sound of passing cars filling the air. Yankumi sat on the back, her mind racing with thoughts.

Where are we even going? she wondered.

She was trying to piece together the conversation from yesterday—what had she agreed to without really thinking? She had been so caught up in her flustered state that she barely remembered half of it.

Did I promise something else too?

Lost in her thoughts, she barely noticed when Shin subtly tilted his head, signaling her to hold on tighter. She blinked, confused by the gesture, unsure what he meant.

The next thing she knew, the bike surged forward, picking up speed as Shin expertly overtook a car ahead of them. Yankumi, caught off guard, nearly slipped, her heart skipping a beat. With a startled gasp, she instinctively wrapped her arms tightly around Shin's waist, holding on for dear life.

Damn it! That's so dangerous!!!

Shin, feeling her sudden grip, was momentarily surprised. But as the corners of his lips curved into a small, almost imperceptible smile, he couldn't help but enjoy the closeness. He didn't say anything, but there was a certain satisfaction in the way she clung to him now.

Yankumi, still blushing furiously, kept her face pressed against his back, trying to calm the rush of adrenaline coursing through her. Her mind was in chaos, partly from the speed of the ride but mostly from the realization of how close they were now.

After a few more minutes of winding through the streets, they finally slowed down. Shin expertly maneuvered the bike into a parking spot in front of a quaint, old coffee shop. The building was small, with rustic wooden signs and a cozy atmosphere, the kind of place that felt like a hidden gem.

Yankumi blinked as she looked up, still holding onto him, though she didn't realize it right away. "Huh... where are we?" she asked, pulling back just enough to look around.

Shin switched off the engine and glanced over his shoulder, his usual calm expression in place. "We're here," he said simply, as if that explained everything.

Still slightly dazed, Yankumi slowly let go of him and climbed off the bike, her feet a little wobbly from the ride. She looked at the coffee shop in front of them and then back at Shin. "This... this place?"

He nodded, getting off the bike smoothly. "Yeah. I figured we could grab a coffee," he said, his tone casual, though there was a quiet intent behind it.

Yankumi blinked, still trying to process everything.

Coffee?

It wasn't what she had expected, but then again, with Shin, nothing ever seemed to go as expected.

As they stepped inside, the cozy warmth of the coffee shop contrasted with the cool evening air outside. The soft lighting cast a golden glow over the space, and the wooden beams and vintage furniture gave the café a rustic, almost nostalgic feel. There were only one or two other customers scattered throughout, quietly sipping their drinks, absorbed in their own world.

Yankumi's eyes widened as she looked around, taking in the atmosphere.

This place is amazing!

She thought, marveling at the unfamiliar, yet strangely comforting vibe. It was nothing like the typical modern coffee shops she had been to before—this one had character, like it held stories within its walls.

Meanwhile, Shin, with his usual calm demeanor, headed straight for a corner spot near the window, a quiet, tucked-away table that offered privacy from the rest of the café. Without a word, Yankumi followed, still glancing around, her curiosity piqued by the unique setting.
