Chapter 16: Confession

"I will take my leave now, Kumiko-san," Odagiri finally broke up his silence.

Yankumi stopped yelling at her two henchmen and looked back. "Huh? What?"

"I'm taking my leave, Kumiko-san." Odagiri forced a smile.

"Oh... oh!" Yankumi exclaimed. "I'm sorry, Odagiri-kun."

"No, it's fine. And it's late, too." He said as he looked at his watch.

"Then let me see you outside," Yankumi was slightly embarrassed that she forgot about him.

Odagiri nodded. He walked out first before her. Before she walks out, she turns around and gave the two henchmen a glare that was saying 'we'll-continue-this-later'. The two just answered with nervous gulps.

Outside the Oedo house,

"Odagiri-kun, I'm really sorry for bothering you and for the inconvenience," Yankumi said with apologetic smile.

They were already at the part where he parked his car. He looks at her once more before getting inside. "I told you, its fine, Kumiko-san. I didn't mind at all. And I'm just glad I was the one who saw you, not anyone else."

Yankumi slightly arched an eyebrow at him, puzzled at his last sentence. And he was quick to brush that off.

"Anyway, see you later," he smiled and get inside his car.

"Yeah, later." Yankumi said. "And take care!"

Odagiri answered her with a nod and a smile. He turned on his car engine and drive in moderate speed. When she can no longer see his car, she sighed and went back inside.

"Ojou..." Tetsu called her in a soft voice. She turned to look at him. "We already set the two kids in the guest room. And we also cleaned them."

Yankumi let out a long sigh. "Okay, thanks."

Tetsu bowed his head and made his leave. She let out another sigh, a sleepy one. She glanced at her watch and saw that it was already past 3:00 in the morning.

I better get some sleep now,

Or tomorrow will be hell!

She went straight to her room and jump to her bed.

"Ohayou."

Tetsu looked behind him and saw Sawada Shin standing at the balcony. He still had his bed hair and the yukata that they changed him into last night. His eyes are still in tiny slits, maybe still sleepy or probably a headache from the hangover.

"Ohayou gozaimasu," he bowed at the young master. "You're up early. It's still 5:00 in the morning."

"I couldn't get back to sleep..." Sawada said in a low voice. "Kudo was snoring way too loud."

Tetsu chuckled. "I knew it. So, want some coffee?"

"Yes...please." He answered with a slight pause.

"You don't have to be so polite with me. It's alright to be informal," Tetsu gave him a reassuring smile.

Sawada nodded as a respond.

The henchman put back his sweeping tools at its place. Then they went to the kitchen. He prepared coffee for both of them. When it's done, he gave the young master his coffee.
