FOUR MONTHS LATER
"Okay, okay, but what do you guys think... of this?" I ask, motioning grandly to my makeshift idea board. It's really just a cork board with a bunch of magazine clippings and random photos tacked haphazardly to the front of it, but my latest theme for my wedding has my chest puffed up with pride. At least until I see everyone's faces.
"Is that... an altar of swords?" Denki asks, blinking at my board flatly. I deflate slightly.
"Well..."
"Where are the flowers?" Mina wonders.
"Are there gonna be fireworks?" Kiri inquires, pointing to the several images of flashy explosions. My sister tilts her head, squinting.
"Is this a wedding or a battle to the death?" she adds, earning a smirk from her own husband. Ifrown at everyone.
"First of all, swords are cool. Secondly, I wasn't getting to the flowers yet, Mina. Third, nofireworks. The explosions represent Katsuki. And Shiori you are not helping" I respond to all of them, earning blank stares from the entire room. Initially when I extended the invite, I didn't expect everyone to be so eager to critique my handiwork, but now I have a living room full of judgy house guests.
"So... what exactly is this supposed to represent?" Ochaco wonders, a sheepish smile on herface as she adjusts Hiroki's weight to her other hip. He makes a charming cooing noise, waving a small toy in front of her face and wearing a bright smile. He's gotten so big since the last time I saw him.
"It's my theme" I tell them, as if it should be obvious. Kyoka squints her eyes at the board from the kitchen table, pursing her lips in thought as she absently munches on one of the snacks I have out.
"I agree with Shiori. It looks like you plan to fight Bakugo for his hand in marriage" she tells me abit flatly. I look back at my board, feeling a little disappointed.
"I thought it looked great" I mutter, sighing at my lack of organization.
"Alright, which one of you bastards is trying to make my fiancé cry?" Katsuki demands, walkinginto the living room and draping his arm across my shoulders. Before anyone can take his threatening air to heart, I turn on him, making a face that shows how clearly unamused I am.
"I'm not crying" I insist and he raises an eyebrow at me, a small smirk playing on his lips.
"I think I can see tears" he replies teasingly, a challenging look in his eyes. I glare at him, nudginghim away from me and yanking my cork board off the stand I bought for it.
"That's it! Marry yourself, Bakugo! My story board and I are leaving!" I tell him, going to storm off to the other side of the apartment, earning chuckles all around.
"Oh it's Bakugo, now huh?" he calls after me. I glare at him again over my shoulder and the restof them too.
"Just because none of you have vision" I retort.
