After the ceremony, we all migrate to the reception area in an incredible sunroom made almost entirely of windows. All of the giant glass doors are held open by exquisite floral arrangements and the ceiling is decorated with more hanging flowers, ribbons, and lights save for the small spaces where the night sky peaks through revealing thousands of beautiful stars. The entire area is dimly lit by each table's centerpiece and the tables are cloaked with soft lavender cloths, pristine white napkins, and silver accents that make the entire scene look like an elegant night out in the wilderness of the fairy courts. It's an amazing sight, one I feel particularly proud of since Shiori and I worked so hard on getting it right.
The reception begins with introductions, starting with the bridesmaids and groomsmen and when it comes time for the maid of honor and best man to make their entrance, I grin at Deku who looks just as exhausted as he does excited.
"How's the new dad life treating you?" I ask him as we prepare for the grand introduction. He laughs, shaking his head.
"It's incredible" he tells me honestly and I smile at him, happy for him too.
"You ready to do this thing?" I ask, offering my hand like the other teams before us. Deku grins and grabs onto it as our names are called and when we enter through the far door onto the dance floor, he gives me a little twirl. I laugh as we release our hands and high five, nailing the entrance we worked so hard on for the last three weeks. Deku is surprisingly uncoordinated as a dancer, but we pulled it off and I can tell it looked good when I see Katsuki's heated stare across the room. My face blushes and I bite my lip, offering him a shrug.
"And now for the bride and groom, everyone Mr. and Mrs. Hitoshi Shinsou!" the announcer says and in comes my sister with her husband by her side, the two of them grinning from ear to ear.
Once the two of them enter, the reception kicks off without a hitch, everyone dancing, drinking and having a good time. Photos are taken by the hundreds and stories shared over immaculate food. The wedding party sits together at first, but it's not long before most of us end up migrating to our significant others instead and we all watch eagerly as the bride and groom cut the cake. When it's time to feed each other, none of us are surprised when they both end up getting a little messy with it before they share an icing filled kiss. Shiori laughs almost constantly and Shinsou smiles more than I've ever seen before and when the time comes for the first dance, the two of them seem to get lost in their own little world, completely oblivious to the rest of us. It isn't until after that though that I finally get my dance with Katsuki.
"Wanna dance?" he asks me, brow raised and hand outstretched to me. I give him a slow smile, taking him up on his offer and following him to the dance floor.
"I'm surprised you're so willing" I tell him as he pulls me in close, hand pressed firmly against my waist.
"I couldn't let that damn Deku show me up with my own girlfriend" he half growls, making me laugh a little.
"Of course not" I tease and he pulls me in tighter, leaning his head in so that his lips are just shy of my ear. I suck in a breath as we dance, heart sputtering.
"It made it so tempting to claim you right in the middle of this floor... you're lucky I respect your sister enough not to ruin her wedding" he tells me and my face instantly blazes a thousand shades brighter.
"Katsuki" I whisper, eyes wide as he pulls away to look at me. He smirks, dancing in a way that's surprisingly expert, and it's all I can do to keep up.
"You think that's bad... wait until I get you home..." he murmurs, twirling me out and bringing me back to him so that my back is flush against his front, face still burning as I try to catch my breath.
