Chapter 19: The Babies

The passing months left the hotel in some confusion as Ruvine rarely left her shared room with Alastor and Lucifer, when she did, either would be by her side and near snarling down anyone who surprised her. They were even more on edge when random demons who were staying would get too close, and Alastor was even more on edge about electronics he didn't make sure was Vox free. Several phones were thrown out of the building and he even crushed someone's hand in a grown fist after they had tried to take a photo of him and Ruvine on one of her good days. She had been mid eating when they saw the flash, and she gasped when Alastor cackled as his form creaked and a fist crunched their hand and phone in the dining room. A rule was set in place from then on to prevent issues from arising, no electronics unless cleared by Alastor beforehand, and even then, limited, all TV's would be of his choice and make and everything on a spare backup power source to prevent Vox's connection through the wires.

Lucifer was no better, he would try to keep polite for his daughter's sake and to keep Ruvine calm, but when a male demon had tried to lift her veil while getting too close for comfort, he had snarled and pinned the male down as his full form roared. It took Ruvine sobbing and Charlie yelling to stop him, even then, the male had left the hotel with a burning hoof print on his ass. From then on, Lucifer had simply shifted his height so he could match with Ruvine a bit more and hide her in his wings when he was uneasy about something or someone. But one day left the entire crew groaning in rage and loss when Katie Killjoy and her little side anchor tried to interview the hotel, she had kept Charlie and Lucifer's attention mostly, but Alastor had spotted the other sneaking off as he growled. The two anchors left the hotel barely alive when he had found the male not only on top of a halfway through her pregnancy Ruvine, but a flash drive with a V on it on a table nearby. They left with several warnings and bloody injuries, and Lucifer, he called upon the other Prince's and had them gather with him at his palace as his full demon form glared at them.

They knew not to piss him off at the moment, even Ozzie and Mammon were silent as Lucifer stormed back and forth before them, his tail whipping around as flames puffed out on every huff.

"Alright, listen up, you fuckers know about my relationship and current situation with my husband and wife, correct?" He growled out at them, seeing them nod faintly as Bee smiled and clapped slightly, Ozzie grinning as Mammon had a small, very small, smile.

"Ok, good, NOW, I want to bring to attention some DEMONS who have decided to be idiots and continue to PATRONIZE myself and my lovers and my DAUGHTER. The V's, and I know some of them fuel some of your own rings, but I am putting my FOOT DOWN, they aren't listening. So, now we will FORCE them to listen. BAN their content from your rings, I will fuel the Prince with the least amount of their influence in their rings with the best if they can do what I ask. Within reason." He growled, seeing them go wide eyed as Mammon raised his hand as Lucifer quietly gestured to him as he settled a bit more.

"I think I speak for all of us, we only wish the best for you, and to see the little ones when born and before the public, would be honor enough.... as well as that little added fuel for our respective rings." Mammon had chuckled near the end, seeing Lucifer narrow his eyes as he looked over each of them. He saw agreeing nods with the others as he sighed and quietly agreed to talk to his lovers about that first part, but assured the other part.

The prince's agreed and left with well wishes to the King, though Mammon wanted to visit to show to Ozzie and Lucifer that he could have a more calm and collected side that wasn't fully wrapped in greed.

That led to the most recent week near the final month of Ruvine's pregnancy, the V's were struggling and panicking as their finances and following were dropping heavily, they had almost stormed the hotel in a rage, weapons ready, only to pause in horror as Mammon and Ozzie stood out front with Lucifer talking to them. The three were chuckling faintly as they paused and slowly turned to face the three figures, Ozzie growled in warning as his flames flickered magenta in rage, Mammon hissed as his extra eyes opened on his head, and Lucifer silently narrowed his eyes as his tail slashed behind him.
