Chapter 2: Alastor Meets Ruvine

Ruvine felt her heart skip a beat, before her, stood none other than the Radio Demon himself, Alastor, the one and only other Deer Demon in hell. Her tail began wagging as Spotty remained laid down, eyes closed in respect as Alastor stopped a few feet before the three. Charlie and Vaggi were nearby Husk at the bar while Nifty had gone off to clean the rest of the hotel. She gently bowed her head a bit in greeting to him as Angel backed up a bit, Alastor letting his usual sarcastic smile ease a bit as he bowed in return.

"Finally someone with some respect to my distance rule, you are aware, for not knowing me." He said happily but curiously, his head tilting a bit.

"You showed hesitance in coming closer than that, so I can only respect your personal space, also, it is hard to not know who the rumored Radio Demon is." She spoke quietly, her head lifting a bit to smile shyly at him.

They heard a snort of laughter from the bar as Vaggi waved a hand in sorry.

"I apologize, the first time Angel Dust met Alastor, he didn't know who he was. Doesn't really care even now, except to not piss him off after the show of power earlier." She giggled as Charlie gently hit her for making fun of Angel.

However, Alastor blinked when Ruvine's head and eyes locked onto him as she beamed happily, tail wagging faster as now Spotty got up and started panting happily in response to her happiness.

"So that was you! The tentacles and spirits! I saw that from my domain, over the plants! Ohhhh, that was amazing what you did! I'd love to show you my domain and creations someday." Her voice was tinged with happiness and excitement, her hooves tapping on the floor as she bit her lower lip gently.

Alastor hummed as Charlie came over and smiled at him gently before tapping his shoulder as he looked at her. His head tilted again as she gestured to Ruvine who now shuffled her weight back and forth from her left to her right.

"I think it'd be a good idea, because then you and I could see if she'd fit for a gardener here at the hotel! We could also just enjoy some time outside of this place." It was not a command, a simple suggestion, but he could see her hidden excitement, her determination to make the hotel actually work.

He sighed and gently took one of Ruvine's hands in his as he gently kissed her knuckles, his smile gentler than most of his other ones. His eyes lowered a bit as Ruvine giggled and blushed faintly.

"We would be honored, if you wouldn't mind leading the way for us? Husk and Vaggi can cover the hotel front while we're gone." His voice came out like silk and melted butter.

Angel however, he frowned as he clasped his four visible hands before him, his eyes watering as he fluttered them.

"Can I pleaaaase come along? She has yet ta show me her new domain since I last saw 'er." He begged, whimpering quietly as he hoped they would allow him to come, his smile returning when Charlie nodded.

Alastor hummed as he gently held his arm to Ruvine, her flush deepening as she gently put her arm in his, the two of them leading the other two out of the hotel. As they made their way to the nearby domain of Ruvine, they saw some of the news reporters near her gates. The previously happy Ruvine seemed to nearly wilt as she held in a sigh and stopped a few feet before her doorway and the reporters. They all smiled to see her and nearly rushed over to ask questions but froze to see Alastor near as they stayed back a bit.

"M... Miss Ruvine! We were wondering if we could get that interview with you! You said we could have one if we met outside of your gates!" The male rat demon said, he was excited, but nervous and shaky as he saw her annoyance clearly.
