The Doe Demon

Chapter 7: The Passion Ignited

Alastor finished with his work at the hotel and made his way over to Ruvine's gates, the plants opened the left gate for him as he made sure it was secure before continuing forward. His eyes roamed over the arches that slowly opened up for him, the packs and herds all were alert and watching him in return.

He stopped at the one holding the deer as he smiled to see the buck was already staring him down, one of the does slowly coming closer to him as he gently stroked her head.

"Just as gorgeous as your Mistress, your buck is a lucky one, hm?" He complimented her, the buck puffing up in pride as the doe bobbed her head before returning to the herd.

Alastor chuckled happily as he stopped at the front doors, his eyes twitching slightly when it opened, and he spotted Vox and Val in the lounge. As he came closer, he saw Vox was showing a video of some demons trying to do tricks and failing. Valentino and Ruvine's laughter echoed in the lounge as Vox's screen returned to his face while he and the other two looked at Alastor.

Though they felt nervous at his look, they relaxed when Ruvine started standing as Val and Vox made sure she was steady, before letting her go to greet him.

"Alastor, my deer! I am so happy you've come to visit! Valentino and Vox were here to visit and see the domain, and we have had the absolute BEST time so far! Vox has a never-ending showcase of demons pulling off tricks and failing!" She gushed happily and excitedly; her limp not as visible as Alastor smiled happily.

"Oh really? I am happy then my deer! I hope to join this merry band and see these videos you speak so highly of." His eyes trailed up to the two still seated as Vox and Val nodded in polite greeting.

Ruvine led him back to her seat as he sat before putting her in his lap, it slightly shocked the two, but Valentino focused back onto Vox who brought up another video, this time, the lounge echoed with all of their laughter as Alastor squeezed Ruvine gently.

As the time went by, Val watched Alastor slowly relax more and more before he finally fell asleep with Ruvine in his lap. Ruvine herself was gently petting his head and ears, her eyes slowly looked up at Val as they looked at Vox, who had changed his screen back to his face, and had fallen asleep as well. They looked back at each other as their quiet chuckles echoed in the room, and as she cuddled closer with Alastor, Valentino gently settled as he curled both sets of arms.

He cooed quietly as he slowly fell asleep himself, the plants slowly covering the windows to block out light from outside as the ones inside slowly dimmed. When Charlie came over to the domain and knocked on the gates, a plant formed butler appeared before her as he bowed to her.

"Hello Miss Charlie, Miss Ruvine currently has two visitors and Mr Alastor in the lounge. If you wish to speak to her, I will announce you so they can have proper time to wake up." He spoke gently, some vines already going inside the building to wake the sleeping four.

"They were sleeping? I didn't know she did that when in front of guests!" Charlie stammered out, thinking of a different sleep before flushing as she giggled nervously. "Oh! I see, well, I hope I'm not intruding!"

The butler waved her inside as she entered and followed him to the lounge, once at the door, she watched him knock before poking his head inside as she heard yawns.

"Miss Ruvine, Miss Charlie has arrived to speak with you." He said quietly, the answering yawn and grunt of approval made him turn to Charlie and nod as he waved her inside.

When she went inside, she froze to see who was there, Val had sat up with Vox nearby, the TV demon grinning in greeting as she saw Alastor still slightly asleep with Ruvine in his lap. His head rested on one of her shoulders as she waved from her spot and gestured to a free seat.
