TW! mentions of abuse and murder

3rd person POV (Yeosang):

Yeosang and his friends glanced over at the table where Hongjoong was sitting, after Seonghwa chased after him. Suddenly, Jongho's demeanor seemed to shift, and Yeosang could sense a subtle change in the atmosphere. It made him uncomfortable, as it reminded him of his father. However, his thoughts were interrupted when the girl at the table burst into laughter, bringing Yeosang back to the present moment. Just then, he noticed Jongho and his friends hastily leaving the cafeteria.

Yeosang's curiosity got the best of him, so despite his friends' protests, he mustered up the courage to approach the girl.
"Hey there, who are you?" Yeosang asked, only to be met with a disgusted look from her. "Are you a girl or a man? If you're a man, you're a disgusting faggot, right?" she retorted.
Suddenly, something unexpected happened. The girl stumbled and fell, hitting her head on the ground. Yeosang turned around to see Hongjoong standing there with his wand. "You know, I'm your senior. You should show some respect. I've let you bully me for a year, but I'm done with it. Hurt me all you want, but you will not hurt my friends, understand?" Hongjoong's eyes turned red, and Yeosang immediately realized, "He's half vampire." The girl got up and walked away, clearly frustrated. "Thank you, really," Yeosang expressed his gratitude to Hongjoong.
Just then, an angry Seonghwa appeared behind Hongjoong. "Hyung... Hey..." Yeosang nervously greeted him. "Yeosang, they told you not to go. Why didn't you listen? You should be happy I didn't make her deaf," Seonghwa scolded Yeosang. After Yeosang apologized, they all left. Hongjoong stepped away right when Seonghwa started scolding Yeosang.

After lunch, Yeosang made his way to his next class with Seonghwa, which happened to be singing. The singing class was a big group since all the years were combined. Yeosang felt overwhelmed, the pressure mounting inside him. He attempted to call out Seonghwa's name, but it was too late. He drifted into that familiar state, passing out in the middle of the lesson. Since his father's passing, Yeosang had been having these episodes. The memories of his father's death and the mistreatment haunted him. Yeosang had a complex relationship with his father - he both despised and cherished him. His father never appeared content with him, yet he provided everything he desired. Yeosang endured emotional abuse from his father, while his mother stayed silent out of fear, always there to console him afterwards. The vision of his deceased father, slain by a sorcerer, flashed before his eyes. His mother believed it was due to hatred, but Yeosang suspected there was more to the tale. Upon waking up, Yeosang found himself in his dorm room, and as he stepped out, Seonghwa greeted him with a "Hey, Yeo." "Oh gosh, I'm sorry for fainting in class," Yeosang apologized. "Yeosang, it's not your fault. You can't control it," Seonghwa reassured him, pausing before adding, "Yet."

Yeosang felt utterly confused about what he was attempting to express, and it seemed that Seonghwa could empathize with this sentiment. However, Yeosang believed that nobody truly comprehended his struggle, as no one made an effort to understand.

As a result, he had been handling it on his own ever since his father's passing.

3rd person POV (Seonghwa):

Yeosang fainted at the beginning of the class, causing everyone to freak out, except for Seonghwa. He was well aware of what was happening - Yeosang was mentally escaping to another realm, something he started doing after his father's passing. Seonghwa took charge, calming everyone down and escorting Yeosang out of the classroom. They headed straight to the one person who might be able to assist them - Hongjoong, who, being a half vampire and wizard, had some knowledge in this area.

Seonghwa burst into their dorm in a hurry, surprising Hongjoong who was on a break. "Didn't realize you had some time off," Hongjoong remarked before quickly realizing the situation. "Oh no, not again," he muttered as he rushed to his room to grab a potion. Mixing in some of his blood, which had healing properties, he knew it would help Yeosang as well. Despite their complicated relationship, Hongjoong always came to Seonghwa's aid when needed.

Seonghwa was about to give Yeosang the potion when he suddenly heard the door open. It was a terrified wizard, covered in blood. Seonghwa looked at him with his soothing eyes, calming the boy down. Thank goodness he's a siren. "Hey, relax. Are you here for Hongjoong?" Seonghwa asked the boy. "Yes, I didn't kill anyone, I swear. Oh, by the way, I'm San, a friend of Hongjoong," he replied, sounding a bit panicked. "Of course, that's his room," Seonghwa said, pointing San in the right direction. Seonghwa then picked up Yeosang and carefully placed the potion in his pocket, carrying Yeosang to his own dorm. Luckily, his roommate wasn't there, so everything was peaceful.

Seonghwa gently placed Yeosang on the couch and administered the potion. Now, all he could do was wait for Yeosang to regain consciousness. As he stood up to prepare dinner, Jongho entered the room, completely unaware of Seonghwa's presence but immediately noticing Yeosang. Jongho approached Yeosang and checked his temperature, wondering if he had a fever. Seonghwa silently pondered this as he watched Jongho retrieve a cold rag from the bathroom and place it on Yeosang's forehead before leaving again. "Well, that was both strange and endearing," Seonghwa mused to himself, continuing with dinner preparations before setting the table.

Seonghwa finished up and settled on the second couch, dialing Hongjoong's number. "Hey, Joong?" Seonghwa greeted. "Yes, Hwa, what's up? If this is about San, don't worry, he's fine," Hongjoong reassured. "Okay, that's good. I was just wondering if we could watch something here in Yeo's dorm while waiting for Yeosang to wake up," Seonghwa nervously asked. "Yeah, sure. Text me the dorm number, I'll be on my way," Hongjoong agreed before hanging up. Seonghwa quickly sent the dorm number and prepared the movie, moving Yeosang to his bed.

They were watching the movie 'A Star Is Born' when Hongjoong fell asleep halfway on Seonghwa's shoulder. After the movie ended, Seonghwa gently laid him down on the couch and checked on Yeosang. Walking back to the couch, he saw a half-awake Hongjoong. "I seriously need to learn to stay awake during a movie," Hongjoong said with a giggle. Seonghwa couldn't help but stare at him with adoration in his eyes, thinking how beautiful Hongjoong was. "Yeah, you should," Seonghwa replied, trying to tease him. "Well, I have to go make homework, so I'll see you at the dorm?" Hongjoong said before saying goodbye and leaving, leaving Seonghwa feeling like a mess.

Yeosang entered the room, interrupting his train of thought.

He didn't look healthy.
