TW! murder

3rd person POV (ATEEZ):

When Wooyoung returned without Yeosang, the worry among everyone intensified. "Look, his mom sent him off, and he hasn't replied. Who knows what's going on?" Hongjoong said, clearly stressed. Just as Wooyoung was about to speak, Jongho walked back in, his face scrunched up and dried tears on his cheeks. "Jongho... What happened?" Seonghwa asked, moving closer to him and wrapping his arms around the boy. "He... he kissed me," Jongho admitted, looking at Seonghwa. Seonghwa's jaw dropped in shock, but he didn't say a word. Instead, he just held Jongho tighter. "It's okay, it's not your fault," Seonghwa whispered, trying to comfort him.

Everyone was just frozen, shocked by what they had just heard. "Oh no, I need to go back now," Wooyoung exclaimed, trying to bolt but San held him tight around the waist. "Woo, he needs some space right now," San said. Wooyoung finally stopped struggling. "We were so wrapped up in our own stuff that we completely overlooked him. He must be terrified, and we didn't do anything," Yunho said, his expression falling as tears welled up in his eyes. Mingi wrapped his arms around Yunho, reassuring him, "It's okay, Yu."

Seonghwa looked at Jongho and asked, "Hey, do you need anything, sweetheart?" Jongho just shook his head, still nestled in Seonghwa's embrace, and the atmosphere felt really heavy. "I'll take Woo home, everyone," San announced, not realizing that Wooyoung had dozed off in his arms. "Sure, just be careful," Hongjoong replied as they made their way out. "I think it's time for us to head back," Seonghwa suggested. "Hongjoong and I will stick around with Jongho if that's okay," he added, getting a nod from Jongho. "Goodnight, everyone! Make sure you get home safe," Hongjoong said before leaving with the other two.

Jongho dozed off in the car, and Seonghwa started to think, "I wish I had caught on sooner. Yeosang asked me about love, and I didn't even realize he might actually be in love." Seonghwa then said, "Yeah, Jongho mentioned the same thing to me." Hongjoong chimed in, "Yeosang's dad was really homophobic, but he never admitted it. I think Yeosang felt like being gay was wrong because of what his dad said." Seonghwa replied, "I totally get that." Hongjoong, trying to push away memories of his own father, asked, "So how's your dad doing? Is he getting better or what?" Seonghwa responded, "Honestly, I wish he was on his way out, but he's just recovering, so ugh." Hongjoong said this without a hint of regret; he really despised his father.

3rd person POV (Yeosang):

Once Wooyoung was gone, Yeosang drifted off to sleep. It wasn't long before a loud thud jolted him awake, so he headed downstairs to see what was up. But when he got there, the sight he encountered made him regret getting out of bed.

Yeosang found his mom lying there, the floor soaked in blood. "Mom?" he called out, his voice trembling. "Mom! Please wake up!" He dropped to his knees, desperately trying to wake her. In a panic, he grabbed his phone and dialed for an ambulance. "Mom, please stay with me," he pleaded, tears streaming down his cheeks. By the time help arrived, it was too late; she was gone. The doctors confirmed it, and it felt like his world shattered. He reached out to Wooyoung, unsure who else to turn to. "Yeo? You alright?" Wooyoung's voice was rough from sleep. "She's dead. My mom is dead," Yeosang choked out, finally allowing himself to cry. "I'm on my way," was the last thing he heard before Wooyoung ended the call.

When Wooyoung showed up, Yeosang was in shambles. His mom had just passed away, he had kissed Jongho, and he felt more lost than ever. "Hey, come here," Wooyoung said, tears streaming down his face too. Yeosang's mom was like the mother he never had; his own had left him and his little brother when Kyungmin was just a baby. Saying Yeosang felt bad was putting it lightly—he was completely shattered. Wooyoung decided to take him back to the house, hoping to find some comfort in memories of his mom. "Anything?" Wooyoung asked as Yeosang lingered by the dining table. "There's a note," Yeosang replied, and Wooyoung rushed over. "Oh my god," he exclaimed as he read it. "They went after MY family," Yeosang said, his expression shifting from sorrow to rage. "They killed MY MOTHER!" he yelled. "Yeo, please calm down," Wooyoung urged, but just like that, Yeosang's anger melted into sadness again. "My mother," he said, his voice trembling. Wooyoung caught him just before he collapsed, tears pouring down his cheeks. Wooyoung quickly called Seonghwa, knowing Yeosang couldn't be left alone right now, and Seonghwa reached out to Yunho. By the time they arrived, everyone was there, even Jongho.

Hongjoong was really angry, frustrated with whoever was after them. Seonghwa was doing his best to soothe him while Yunho and Mingi were busy whipping up a snack for Yeosang. Wooyoung was hanging out with Yeosang, and Jongho was chatting with San, trying to dig up more clues about the murderer in the house. "Woo..." Yeosang whispered to Wooyoung, "Yeah?" Wooyoung replied. "I can't sleep," Yeosang said softly. "Could you grab my blue teddy from my room?" Yeosang asked. Without hesitation, Wooyoung jumped up to fetch it. When he returned with the teddy, Jongho noticed it was the one he had given Yeosang after a little spat they had. It was small but held a lot of meaning for both of them. Yeosang hugged the teddy tightly and soon drifted off to sleep in Wooyoung's embrace. The rest of the group formed a cozy circle around him, creating a protective barrier of comfort.

Jongho was sitting directly across from Yeosang, just gazing at him. Yeosang looked so serene while he slept, with his birthmark visible and his lips looking so soft he could kiss him right there and then. Everything about his face was just so calming.

To Jongho, Yeosang was the epitome of beauty.
