Yeosang went to bed after chatting with Jongho all night about the stars, smiling briefly at the memory before falling asleep.
"But you like me, we had such a nice chat yesterday.." Yeosang said, his voice trembling with tears. "Yeosang, you're a terrible person! Why would I ever like you?" Jongho replied, chuckling, and everyone else joined in with laughter - Seonghwa, Yunho, Wooyoung, and all of Jongho's friends. Yeosang couldn't bear it anymore and ran away, crying and struggling to breathe. Negative thoughts flooded his mind as he stood on the rooftop, gazing over the edge. Suddenly, a sharp pain pierced through him, causing him to collapse onto his knees. In that moment, he wished he had never met anyone. A mixture of sobs and screams escaped his mouth.
Yeosang! Yeosang! Yeosang heard his name being called, and he slowly woke up, tears streaming down his face. He found himself sobbing into the arms of the person beside him. "Hey, it's okay. You're safe now. No one is going to hurt you," the familiar voice of Jongho reassured him. Jongho held Yeosang tightly, wanting to comfort him. "Do you want to talk about it?" Jongho asked, but Yeosang shook his head, not ready to share his pain. They both fell asleep in each other's embrace, only to be awakened by the blaring sound of an alarm clock. Yeosang was the first to wake up, letting out a yawn as he sat up and stretched. However, he let out a scream of surprise when he saw the younger male next to him. "Whoa, what the hell?" Jongho exclaimed, startled by Yeosang's scream. "Oh, sorry," Yeosang apologized, realizing that his voice was much louder than he intended.
Jongho was the first to get up and head to the bathroom. As Yeosang got up, he heard the shower running. Jongho must be showering. Yeosang decided to head to the kitchen quickly because he needed to go for a swim. He felt like he was drying out, which is unhealthy for a merman. So, he went to knock on the bathroom door. "Yes?" Jongho said from inside the bathroom. "Uhm, I know this might sound weird, but would you like to join me? I need to go swim because, uh, yeah, I'm drying out," Yeosang asked Jongho. There was a moment of silence before Jongho responded with "Sure." Yeosang was unaware of Jongho's trauma about the car accident, but Jongho wanted to try. "Yeosang?" Jongho called out before Yeosang left. "Yes?" Yeosang answered. "Can I invite the group?" Jongho said. "Of course," Yeosang replied. Jongho thanked him, and Yeosang walked away from the bathroom door.
Yeosang was all set to go after swimming, waiting for Jongho who finished quickly. "Ready to go?" Jongho asked as he took Yeosang's hand and they headed towards the beach. "You can go ahead, I'll wait for the others," Jongho said, releasing Yeosang's hand. Yeosang dashed straight to the beach without looking back.
Yeosang was completely unaware of the boy standing behind him, watching him intently. (NOT A CREEP GUYS PLS)
Jongho smiled watching Yeosang dive into the sea.

3rd person POV (Yungi):
As Yunho and Mingi approached the beach, they noticed Jongho gazing at something. At first, they thought he was just staring at the ocean, a little scared. But they were mistaken - he was actually staring at Yeosang. They quietly snuck up behind Jongho, attempting to startle him, but he didn't even flinch. "Hey Jjong, how's it going?" Mingi inquired. "A little mesmerized by our friend over there?" Yunho teased. Jongho responded by lightly slapping Yunho on the arm. "Hey, um, Yunho?" Jongho began. "Yes?" Yunho replied. "Yeosang mentioned something about drying out, what does that mean?" Jongho asked. "Oh, it's when we stay out of the water for too long and our bodies start to dry out, potentially leading to passing out or even death. It actually happened to Yeosang's older brother, but, um, never mind, I probably shouldn't say more," Yunho explained, leaving Jongho to ponder on his own.
"Hey princess, I'm gonna go hang out with Yeosang," Yunho announced before dashing off to join him. "Princess, huh?" Jongho playfully teased Mingi. "Oh, just hush," Mingi replied, feeling a bit flustered. As they waited for the remaining four to arrive, the boys chatted and observed the two friends frolicking in the ocean. Suddenly, Wooyoung sneaked up on them and shouted, "BOO!" Mingi let out a piercing scream, while Jongho couldn't help but laugh at his reaction. "When I catch you, Wooyoung, you're in big trouble!" Mingi exclaimed, getting up and chasing after him. Wooyoung sprinted towards the ocean, laughing all the way, and Mingi eventually joined him, although not as swiftly since he wasn't a merman. He could catch up with the others later and share the fun.
Yunho was caught staring at Mingi and Wooyoung, "Yunho, you should take a picture, it should last longer," Yeosang said. "I just don't get how a shape shifter can be so beautiful, calm, and yet so hot and so wild," Yunho replied, still staring at Mingi. "Well, Yunho, remember what we had when we were 15 going on 16 for almost a year?" Yeosang asked. "Oh, our friends with benefits thing? Yeah, I remember that," Yunho said, turning his attention to Yeosang. Yeosang nudged him and pointed at Mingi with his head. "Oh no, Yeosang, I'm not gonna ask him if he wants to be friends with benefits, are you crazy?" Yunho said a bit louder than expected. Both Mingi and Wooyoung looked at him as he laughed awkwardly. Yeosang, who just started laughing hysterically, got even more attention from the boys, until the point that Yunho just swam to the beach and ran to the toilet stalls.
Mingi called out to Yunho from outside the toilet stalls, "Yunho?" However, Yunho remained silent, curling his legs up to his chest, trying to hide. Mingi continued, "Hey, if you're in there, I brought the food. I know you were craving chicken, so I got you some extra." Mingi then added, "I'll give you some space for now," before exiting the bathroom and heading towards the rest of the group.
'Oh, fuck you Song Mingi, how could i not have known you were him. My bestfriend, my online bestfriend was you. Oh if only you knew.' Yunho mumbled to himself pulling himself together opening the door.
Yunho could have collapsed in that moment when he encountered Mingi by the stall. 'I can ex-' Yunho began, but Mingi interrupted him.
'I'm so glad it's you,' Mingi expressed, tears forming in his eyes as he embraced Yunho.

Suprise suprise, Yunho and Mingi both have been online bestfriends for years, bonding over the game LoL, they both didn't know but for the past 5 years they were eachothers ride or die. Eachother's everything.
