3rd person POV (Wooyoung):
Once Wooyoung caught wind of what was going on with Jongho and Yeosang, his usual sassy vibe took a backseat to a more anxious, big-brother side. He kept shooting them texts to check if they were alright, and it was clear he was feeling the pressure. "Woo, chill out, they'll be fine. Stop staring at your phone," Yunho chimed in while they were in the middle of a game. "I just want to be there for them all the time, Yunho! You don't understand," Wooyoung snapped, sounding harsher than he meant to. Yunho then snatched Wooyoung's phone away, saying, "Look, we're all concerned, but they can handle themselves. Seriously, they're okay, just let it go." Yunho replied, a bit annoyed.
Mingi, who had been chilling in the corner playing games on his phone, finally got up to join the crew. "Honestly, I was just waiting for you to lose it, Yunho," he said as he plopped down next to him. "So, are we gonna play this game or what?" Mingi added with a playful smirk. "Yeah, we are. Right, Wooyoung?" Yunho replied, glancing over at Wooyoung, who was putting his phone away. "Right," Wooyoung confirmed. After four rounds of Yunho totally dominating them, they were over it. "You're such a cheater," Mingi huffed, crossing his arms. "No way, you just can't handle losing," Yunho teased, poking Mingi's cheek. Wooyoung checked his phone and, just as Yunho said, everything was fine.
Yunho and Mingi were in a heated debate about the game when Wooyoung completely zoned out, gazing out the window at the darkening purple sky. "Guys," he called, but got no reply. "GUYS!" he shouted, finally snapping them out of it as something came flying toward them. Instinctively, Yunho recited a defensive spell they had learned. The object landed right in front of Wooyoung. "What is it?" Mingi asked, clutching Yunho tightly. "It's a knife..." Wooyoung replied, still staring at the eerie purple sky. "We need to check on everyone; that sky is definitely not normal." Wooyoung grabbed both Yunho and Mingi's hands and dashed out the door, heading straight for Jongho and Yeosang's dorm. "Oh thank goodness you guys are okay!" Seonghwa exclaimed as they reached the dorm. "Knife?" both Wooyoung and Seonghwa asked in unison. "Yeah." "Let's move, no time to waste!" San chimed in just as Mingi kicked the door down, revealing a startled Jongho and a relaxed Yeosang. "Uh, what the hell?" Jongho said, wide-eyed at the scene.
Seonghwa nearly dropped to his knees in relief, saying, "Thank goodness you guys are alright!" Jongho, completely in the dark, asked, "Why wouldn't we be? Did something happen?" Wooyoung jumped in, "Well, while I was zoning out looking outside, me, Yunho, and Mingi were playing a game and got into an argument. Out of nowhere, the sky turned purple, and a knife came flying at us! Yunho managed to recite a spell just in time, or I would've been dead." Yeosang stirred from his nap at the mention of the word "dead." Hongjoong chimed in, "Yeah, we had a similar experience." Jongho replied, "Oh fuck. I'm just glad you're all safe."
Something told Wooyoung that this wouldn't be the last time this happend, and boy was he right.
3rd person POV (ATEEZ):
When Yeosang finally fully woke up, they replayed everything that had happened. The guilt was written all over his face, tears brimming in his eyes, and his hands nervously twisting the blanket. "Yeosang, I get that you feel responsible, but it's not just you they're after. They want to bring all of us down because they can't stand seeing us happy together. We'd never abandon you," Seonghwa reassured him, pulling him into a warm hug. "We're all in this together," Wooyoung chimed in, joining the embrace, and soon everyone followed suit. "Thanks, guys," Yeosang said, wiping his tears away. "I honestly don't know what I'd do without you." With a smile, he added, "Speaking of us, it's been eight months since we first met!" Mingi exclaimed, grinning widely. "That definitely calls for a celebration—MOVIE NIGHT!!" San shouted, making everyone burst into laughter at his enthusiasm.
"Feeling the love tonight, so how about we watch The Lion King?" Hongjoong suggested. "That was a terrible pun, hyung," San replied, rolling his eyes. "I really want to watch The Lion King," Wooyoung chimed in, with Yeosang nodding along. "If I end up crying, you guys better not laugh at me," Seonghwa warned, which made them all chuckle. When they hit the part where 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight' starts playing, it quickly turned into a Disney karaoke night. "I'm gonna lose my voice if I keep this up," Mingi said, struggling with the high notes, and everyone burst out laughing. "Man, I'd actually love that," Yunho teased, clearly getting under Mingi's skin, who pouted in response. "Oh, come on, I was just joking!" Yunho said, giving Mingi a quick kiss on the forehead before heading off to grab a drink. Yeosang, nestled in Jongho's lap, suggested, "What if we watch The Notebook?" Everyone turned to him, and Seonghwa teased, "You just want us to cry, don't you?" Yeosang giggled, but they ended up watching The Notebook anyway, and by the end, everyone was in tears, even Jongho shed a few.
1. Before long, everyone was out cold, except for Yunho and Jongho. "You're gonna look after him, right?" Yunho asked, showing his big brother side. "Absolutely, I'll keep him safe with everything I've got," Jongho replied confidently. "Alright, I'm heading out to the balcony for some fresh air, you go to sleep alright," Yunho said as he stood up while Jongho closed his eyes and fell asleep. "Moon, please watch over us and shield us from whatever's coming our way. Help us deal with the pain of losing someone and the heartache that follows." Yunho pleaded, but the moon stayed silent. "What's the point? It's all on us," he muttered, heading back inside to look at everyone before settling down next to Mingi and drifting off to sleep.
The moonlight falling upon all of them.
