Prologue

Wedding reception

I smile as I watch my sister and Chimney finishing up their first dance together. I smile as I held Jee on my lap as she watches. I could feel Jee play with my fingers as I start to blush. Looking over I saw how proud mom and dad were as their little girl was now married. After the dance I got up and went up to Maddie and Chimney an handed her Jee who was smiling from ear to ear.

I give Maddie a kiss on the forehead before Chimney giving me the mic so I could give my speech.

" Hello im Evan for those who dont know. I want to say I have known Maddie and Chimney separately and I have known them together. But to know them together is one of the best things you can know. A while back Maddie and Chimney went through hell but came out of it better than ever. This is definitely a long time coming. I am so grateful to have both of you in my life and little Jee. Love you both" I said

The whole room started clapping. I gave Maddie and Chimney a hug before heading back to my table.Sitting back down next to Eddie and Tommy. I reach over and grabbed my glass taking a sip of my wine. I placed the glass back on the table. After everyone was done giving beautiful speeches the music started blasting again.

" come on I wanna introduce you to Maddie " I said looking over at Tommy.

" can't wait " Tommy replies

I get up and Tommy stands up with me. Chimney is going to his parents and giving them a hug as we walk up to Maddie.

"Mads, Jee I wanna introduce you both to Tommy" I said trying so hard not to blush.

" OH my gosh! This is the famous Tommy I've been hearing about! I've been so looking forward to finally meeting you " Maddie says

" pleasure is all mine. Beautiful wedding " Tommy says

" thank you " Maddie says

Maddie places Jee on Chimneys chair and gets up to give me a hug. Maddie whispers " he's a cute one" in my ear before hugging Tommy.

" Go enjoy the party. I'll stop by with Jee tomorrow before the two hours of driving tomorrow " Maddie says

" sounds good " I said

" our songs about to start. Is it okay if I steal Evan say for a dance " Maddie asks Tommy

" Of course " Tommy says

Safe and Sound by Capital Cities started to play. I look over at Maddie

" wow we used to play this all the time when we were younger " I said

" I know. That's why I wanted it to be our song for our dance " Maddie says

" I'm so happy you and Chimney have each other " I said as we started dancing

"' Me too. I think Jee thinks that too " Maddie says looking over at Jee

" you better ask Tommy to dance " Maddie teases

" I know " I said

" Did you tell mom and dad about you and Tommy?" Maddie asks

" Nope. They think I brought a friend. Hoping they won't introduce themselves to him" I admited

Looking over to my table I could see Tommy chatting it up with Christopher who was sitting in my spot as Eddie was also talking to Tommy. Bobby and Athena rejoined the table and picked up the convocation.

I hear laughing coming from Eddie. I smile as Christopher looks at me. I smile at him as she waves.
I look over at mom and dad's table and saw mom getting up. I look back at Maddie who met my eyes. Looking back over I saw mom walking up to my table and place her hand on Tommy's shoulder.

" well this should be fun" I said

Maddie and I spun around and Maddie saw what was happening.

" what do you think they are talking about?" Maddie asks

" probably just introducing herself you know mom. I doubt Tommy will say that we are dating" I said

" im sure you're right" Maddie said

" we got a fast song after this. I can already tell he loves you like we do. " Maddie says

I give her another hug right after the song ends.
Best day of my life by American Authers started to play.

" go dance with Tommy " Maddie says smiling as she pushes me towards the table.

" come dance with me " I said as I reach out my hand

Tommy takes my hand as I drag him out on the dance floor. I look beside me to see Hen and Karen already dancing.

" I don't dance that well " Tommy says to me

" Neither do I. " I said

Tommy and I walked back over to our table and sat down. I watch mom and dad ad they dance to some song that I don't know that well. I have a feeling Chim picked that song.

" where's Marisol?" I asked Eddie

" restroom" Eddie replies.

" Maddie looks so happy " I hear Athena say

" yeah she dose " I reply.

" so dose Chim" Eddie adds

" long time coming " Karen said

" it has. I'm so proud " Hen says

After the reception Tommy and I walked back to my car. I noticed mom and dad parked right next to me. I didn't see them leave the venue so I'm assuming they are still dancing or talking to Maddie. I unlock the car. Right when I was getting in I could hear someone calling my mane. I look behind me to see by dad coming over to us.

" I'll be right back " I tell Tommy.

" okay" Tommy says

I toss my keys to Tommy before walking over to dad.

" we didn't talk the whole wedding.your mom and I wanna make sure you are ok after everything that had happened " Dad tells me

" im fine " I said

" I was hoping you would have introduced us to your friend. He seems nice " dad says

" he's just shy. I will one day. Promise. " I said

" I gotta go. Enjoy the rest of the wedding " I said

I walked back to the car and got on. I took a deep breather before Tommy handed me the keys.
I drove Tommy back to his place. I parked my car as we sat listening to Scared to Start by Michael Marcagi.

" thank for for coming with me " I said looking at Tommy who was starring off into space

" that was one of the best wedding I've been too in a while. Thank you for inviting me. " Tommy says

" wouldn't wanna go with anyone else " I said

" are you trying to make me blush?" Tommy asks

" what if I am?" I asked

Tommy leans in and kisses me.
