Letting the door open, I didn't knew if it was proper of me to go wandering around in the castle during this time. I wasn't asking for trouble but it's not everyday that you get to visit the castle. I walked out and went through alleys trying my best to remember the directions. At some point, I saw the decoration get even more fancy, I already knew I shouldn't be there so I went back on my steps. I took another alley that finally directed me to the same main courtyard the chef of the intruders were back in the attack. I went trough a door frame and the binding light of the sun hit me in the face. Adjusting my eyes to the luminosity, I couldn't help but smile at the view. Some bright green verdure here and there, there was a guard-training in a corner of the place, other people would just walk talking of everything and nothing. I began to walk around, looking at the infrastructure on a better day without the blood or bodies. Birds were chirping and even though the voices of people around, we still could hear the gentle breeze of the wind.

-: Pardon me, Miss...

Y/N: My apologies, I was lost in my thinking. I go by the name of Y/N. I just arrived today at the castle and if it is not intrusive of me, you might be?

Rouge: I'm Rouge, Rouge the bat.

We bowed a little to each other and she looked at me from up and down, which I did with a quick glancing that already make me felt under the standards of her... Well developed body.

Rouge: You did very well, Miss Y/N. Thank you.

Y/N: Wha- I'm not sure that you're addressing yourself to the good person Mis-

Rouge: Oh, don't pretend my dear. Can't you see how everyone just stopped moving? We all know it's you and I'm thanking you for-

Y/N: Sorry for interrupting you but please... Stop. I only did what everyone should have done, I did noth-

Rouge: Don't be so humble, you saved us all! You shouldn't hide th-

Y/N: Please, stop.

Some whispers began to rise and some laughs after someone I recognize talked out loud.

-: She's working at the King's stables, I guess that's what's making her so special...

Now, everyone knew it was me, a simple ordinary, ruthless and especially, stable-girl. The women in front of me was about to say something but someone quickly interfered.

Lancelot: Miss Rouge.

Rouge: Well, if it isn't my favourite Knight of the Round Table? ~Hi.

My felt like I was going to throw up my heart. I was disgusted at myself already. Disgusted that I even though of feeling love for such... A stunning man that didn't have anything to do with me. Such a "special" girl that I was but too weirdly special to have the attention of someone this way. The light seemed to fade and the wind to feel cold on my fur. I had a knot in my throat and it was difficult to breathe. People were still looking at me and Shadow was looking at Rouge and felt out of whatever conversation they had. Suddenly, Shadow side-eyed me quickly but I just faintly put a smile on my face. Well, that was life anyway. Rivalry's everywhere but when you're not even part of the society, you shouldn't even be considered... Just like me. I turned and began to walk away, the voices stopped as I closed my mind to all the superficial things around. I didn't care. People could think whatever they wanted, it was not my business. I was doing this new job for my family, I was going to focus hard on my training and if anything would try to go in my way...

Y/N: I will fight like I always have.

Lancelot: Are you ready to fight again then?

I stopped and breathed out.

Y/N: Are you sure you don't want to call this a day Sire Lancelot?

Lancelot: I told you that I do not intend to just sleep around doing nothing and that my teaching is intense.

Y/N: I know and I agreed to the conditions. Let's go then.
