~ Chapter 20: So sad but so beautiful ~

I was deeply flustered sitting there onto the ground between the field's high grass. He got up, gave me his hand out only to put me up by pulling me to fast to him and end up in his arms. I put my arms around his torso and he was wrapping me with his. The wind got stronger but he just turned us of direction and he was the one having the wind in his back. Wasn't that sweet from him...

Y/N: Do you have to go somewhere?

Lancelot: I'm where I have to be, with you. Do you need to go somewhere?

I wanted to say no but it was too good to be true.

Y/N: I have to go back at the stables and help the others to clean-up for the end of the day. After, I'll have other people to train.

Lancelot: Who?

I looked at his beautiful face and smirked playfully.

Y/N: Hmm, I'm sorry but you can't be part of my personal training this time.

Lancelot: But I'm the one to train you normally so it wouldn't be much to return me the favour.

Y/N: Shadow, you can't come. Last time, you already moved the schedule I made to the pink Amy girl by coming instead of her. She might be there tonight, plus the other guy and-

Lancelot: Which guy?

His tone changed so fast and I shivered from his deep voice.

Y/N: Don't worry. He's still a kid, well... Almost.

Lancelot: Y/N, I don't care if he's younger than you just tell me who it is.

Y/N: I don't know his name.

He looked in my eyes trying to read me. I sighted and put a hand on his chest.

Y/N: Shadow, please calm down. I've done those secret meetings for a long time now. The people I'm reaching were always in difficult situations when I found them. I'm secretly learning them to fight by their own and I'm not asking for anything in return but to keep those meetings secret. I'm really clear about it with them and they don't even know my name. They need help and I'll be the one to help them. If anything happens... I know what to do.

The hedgehog reluctantly accepted in silence but he was still feeling uneasy.

Y/N: Listen... When I help them, it's helping me. That's how I'm "rescuing" those in need. So please, trust me Shadow. I can handle myself like I did before.

He looked somewhere else in the distance but I put my hand on the left side of his face to make him look at me.

Y/N: To have you by my side is one lovely thing I wouldn't give up for anything and I know that if something happens, you'll be there for me. I just have a specific time that I need to follow. I make a promise to those people, I can't give up on them. You understand?

He nodded in silence.

Y/N: You hedgehog... Why your face look so sad but so beautiful at the same? I'm sorry if I said something mean.

The light red shade was on his cheeks again.

Lancelot: I'm the one who's sorry, Y/N. I understand. Simply be careful for me, I don't like to think you'll be in the dark alone and run into trouble.

Y/N: Don't worry, I'll be fine.

I smiled and told him it was time for me to go. He put all his armour back on and I just stared all along. He came back to me smirking.

Lancelot: Are you ready my beautiful lady?

My face blew up but I still took the hand he was offering me. He teleported us and I was in front of the stable's doors just like the first time he brought me back after my training. He whispered to me.

Lancelot: I should maybe pin you softly against the doors like last time...

I was feeling shy at first but I managed to smirk.

Y/N: And get yourself pinned by me as the result.

Lancelot: At least, I won't get mad.

Y/N: Oh, how sad. You didn't like it when I was mad at you last time?

Lancelot: I never said that but I know that if it was me, you'll be having your heart racing so much that I would be able to hear it and...

He got closer again, taking my left arm to bring me closer to his chest. The black and crimson hedgehog bent to my right ear.

Lancelot: You'll be softly saying my name again in complete despair of me. Y/N...

It was the first time I heard this tone in his voice. The way it made my heart jumped a beat and how the temperature in me increased so quickly was dangerous. The sound of a piece of metal falling onto the ground not far from us I heard. I looked behind me and I saw the glimpse of a man's back going away. His shovel had felt onto the dry mud next to the right of the stables' side.

Y/N: Mighty.

Lancelot: What? Who's Mighty? Is he the one that'll be there tonight? Is he-

Y/N: Lancelot, I really have to go. Thank you for today, I'll see you tomorrow. Goodbye now.

I quickly parted from the knight and gave a hand to the men that were still working. Happy to see me, we talked about everything and anything while we worked. I asked them where was Mighty but they said that they haven't seen him either since a while now. My ears went down thinking of the fight we had this morning and how the sight of me and Lancelot must have been really heartbreaking for him. I wanted to apology to him but what was it to be sorry about? I had tell him multiple times that I didn't felt anything for him. I even warned him there's a while from now. This was simply the truth, I was falling in love with someone else. Someone respectable and respectful of me, who didn't thought of himself and his only needs in the first place before thinking of what I wanted. I sighted and shook my head. We finished our work an hour and a half after. I said goodbye to everyone and walked all the way to my house without taking the short-cut in the forest. It was still the sunset and the sky was wearing one of his most beautiful shades. The wonderful scenery going by as I walked, I reached home.
