Lancelot: So you're coming here every night?

Y/N: Almost. I have to, people need me and this is mostly what I'm doing on my free-time. Training for whatever kind of situation. I'm exhausted only by thinking of all of that.

Lancelot: Miss Y/-

Y/N: Please, really drop the Miss, it's annoying.

Lancelot: Y/N... First, you'll have to acknowledge that I do not have any companion in my life.

Y/N: But the bat...

Lancelot: She's a friend I have known since a good time. After that, understand that I am deeply sorry for the trouble I'm bringing you.

Y/N: Seems to me that you're a rare kind to give apologies.

He scoffed and shook his head, a playful small smirk on his lips for an instant.

Y/N: Don't worry Lancelot. You're not any big problem for me that I can't handle anywa-

Lancelot: Y/N. I'm sorry to have not hold my promise to help you out to be used to the castle without any harm. Please forgive me.

It was indeed what he said in the morning to the stables.

Y/N: You... Didn't have to make any promises Lancelot.

Lancelot: I heard their snickering and that was the reason I came next to you in the court-yard.

Y/N: I can deal with myself Lancelot. You're learning me how to fight in real combat, not in personal fights.

I didn't wanted to offence him but he had to understand that I could handle myself like I always did before he was there. I felt my hand get taken by him. I looked back at his eyes and I saw him put his lips onto it.

Lancelot: I know... You're a great fighter. Sorry, Y/N.

His red eyes stared at me for a minute and I was still burning inside as he was holding my hand again.

Y/N: Lancel-

Lancelot: Shadow.

Y/N: ... What?

Lancelot: I-I mean, what were you going to say Mis- Y/N?

I got really surprised of his stutter. He had been troubled and let go of my hand after his confusing saying.

Y/N: Are you feeling okay, Lancelot?

Lancelot: Yes. Everything's fine.

Y/N: Okay, I guess... Well, it's time to go. I have to go home so...

Lancelot: I know you are more than in capacity to protect yourself but... Would you mind my company on your way home?

I couldn't help but to feel my cheeks heat up. This heart of mine... Always had to jump in his presence, didn't it?

Y/N: Sure, Lancelot. Just... Follow me, I guess.

I suddenly felt nervous but calmed myself down quickly. We walked for a while and took a small pathway inside of a field. I could see the small wood campaign house from here. Meanwhile, I had finally processed his earlier words.

Y/N: Wait. Here, look.

I took his hand and went directly between the golden yellowish herbs. I knew "they" didn't had the time to come out around us since we ran so the second we stopped, I asked him to close his eyes.

Y/N: Please trust me on this one. In literally six seconds open you eyes.

I moved the herbs around a little while counting for him and I was back in front of him after the short delay.

Y/N: Look around, Shadow... It's beautiful, isn't?

His eyelids flickered a little as he heard me say his real name for the first time. I was just smiling, feeling honoured to know his name and that he trusted me for it. The firebugs flying around us, they were completing the starry sky and the moon. I got really closer to him and whispered.

Y/N: I'm sorry for my rudeness today. Everything's just moving a lot right now... Sorry.

Lancelot: I understand. There's just one thing...

He bent to my ear, his shoulder touching mine.

Lancelot: I won't be more lenient tomorrow.

I laughed and sighted.

Y/N: I know you won't. Well... Goodnight, Shadow.

Lancelot: Goodnight, Y/N.

Y/N: I'm... Quite happy that I had the chance to talk to you. In a certain way, I had a good time.

Lancelot: Me too Y/N, I had a lovely time in your company.

He took the time to kiss my hand again. I stared at his lovely red eyes and turned around to go into the direction of my home. I looked behind me a last time to wave goodbye and take a moment to have a good last look at him.

Y/N: Goodbye lovely knight.

I was at the door and looked back to see the field who was now empty.

Y/N: I can't hate you now...

I knocked onto the door and waited for my brother to open, a smile on my face.
