The door opened, an expression of relief on my brother's face at my arrival. He welcomed me back and told me that he had reserved a plate for me on the table. I thanked him and ate directly before going to bed that my brother let me have today. There was only two bedrooms in this small house so he was going to do the sacrifice for me tonight and sleep into a chair or onto the floor of the main room. I trowed myself into the bed made of straw and feathers. This was one of the most comfortable beds since my brother went haunting and put the bird's feathers inside. My father's bed was made with animal's fur and feathers, the dream. The reasons of this so sounding comfortable bed: he was in obligation to stay in it for the entire month because of a weird wound he got. It had something to do with a large piece of metal at the stables who hit and cut him in the side. I examined him a little and almost didn't had the chance to put some special herbs on it since other people took care of him while I had to work. When I was back home this day, my brother just told me he needed some big rest for the month. Now, it this very room and in this very bed, I was focusing on forgetting all of those problems for a moment. After awhile, I caught myself smiling in the dark. I flopped to my right side and I had my right hand cupping my cheek. I twisted my hand a little to have the top of it against my cheeks and I actually wondered... How would it feel to feel his lips? My face grew hot to the only thought of his face close to mine like at the lake. I touched my chest where my heart was and tried to listened to my heartbeat. All I knew was that he was the one causing that in me. I let that warm and burning feeling accompany me to the sweet world of my dreams.

My eyes opened up as it was still dark outside. I let out a sound as if he was still here with me. My heart was beating like the  hooves of five horses galloping. Someone's steps got closer to the door.

Karim: Y/N, are you crying?

Y/N: N-no, I'm fine.

There was a silence and I heard him beginning to go away but he stopped in his tracks. The door opened.

Karim: I know that you never stutter, unless it's because you're crying. So what's the matter?

I stayed in my sleeping position and tried to figured out something quickly.

Y/N: Maybe a nightmare... I'm not quite sure myself. Sorry.

He sighted and was about to close the door.

Karim: You know... You don't have to keep everything on your shoulders all of the time Y/N. If I'm here, it's not for nothing.

He almost closed the door but I called him.

Y/N: Karim... It is not a nightmare. It's something else but I can't tell you. I would if there really was a problem but... It's more personal.

I was telling the truth, he knew it and it reassured him.

Karim: That's okay then. If you ever need to talk it out, I'm here.

Y/N: I know. Thanks Karim, I love you.

Karim: I love you too, little miss.

He went away and I actually got embarrassed from the situation.

Y/N: Oh, I can't believe it... Why me?
