(Smut)

The second room down on the right side of the hallway currently accommodates the troubled couple, Sharky and Kenny. The new couple were in Kenny's room getting ready for bed. Sharky steps into the bathroom to brush his teeth. He stared at the mess in the mirror, unable to recognise the person staring back at him. He was a shell of his former self. The reflection didn't even look like Sharky anymore. Had his face changed? When had Kenny changed his mirror?

As he spits out toothpaste, he hears a muffled sob coming from the bedroom. He freezes, feeling a pit form in his stomach. It's Kenny. Sharky slowly makes his way back into the room, his heart racing. Kenny's face is buried in his hands, his shoulders shaking as he tries to stifle the sound.

Sharky crouches down gently in front of the sobbing man, careful not to startle him. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asks softly. Kenny doesn't respond, just continues to cry. Sharky reaches out carefully and pulls one of Kenny's hands away from his face. He looks at the boy, really looks at him, and for the first time since they've been together, he sees something he hasn't seen this strongly before. He sees fear.

He doesn't know what to do. All he can think is that he needs to make this better; he needs to help Kenny feel safe again. He leans forward, resting his forehead against Kenny's, their noses almost touching. "I'm here," he whispers. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm not going to leave you, okay? I promise. You're safe with me." He waits for a moment, letting his words sink in, before pulling back slightly to wipe away the tears from Kenny's cheeks.

Sharky knows they need to talk about this; they need to face it head-on, not wanting Kenny to be afraid of being emotional anymore. But he also knows that Kenny needs time. He needs to feel comfortable and safe. So, instead of launching into a confrontation, he gently guides Kenny over to the head of the bed, sitting down beside him. He takes Kenny's hand in his own, their fingers intertwining, and just holds on. They stay like that for what feels like hours, neither of them speaking, just existing in the moment together.

Finally, Kenny takes a shaky breath and turns to look at Sharky. There's a mix of vulnerability and determination in his eyes, and it's like a beacon of hope for Sharky. "I'm scared," he whispers. "I'm so scared of him being back. I don't know how much more of this I can take."

Sharky's heart breaks at the pain in Kenny's voice. He squeezes his hand reassuringly, not wanting to lose that connection. "I know it's hard, baby. But you're not alone. You have me now. You can lean on me, and we'll face this together." He wipes away another tear that rolls down Kenny's cheek.

Kenny turns away, looking out the window. "I just don't want to feel like this anymore. I don't want to be scared all the time." There's a tremor in his voice that Sharky hasn't heard before. It's raw, unfiltered emotion.

Sharky squeezes Kenny's hand even tighter, willing his touch to convey some sort of comfort, some sort of reassurance. "I know it's hard," he says softly. "But you don't have to face this alone. I'm here for you, okay? We'll figure this out together. It will only be for a few days."

Kenny looks up at Sharky, his eyes searching his face for some sort of answer. Sharky leans forward, cupping Kenny's cheek in his hand, and kisses him gently. "I promise to keep you safe, no matter what. You don't have to worry about him hurting you anymore. You're my responsibility now."

The weight of those words hangs in the air between them, heavy and powerful. Kenny looks into Sharky's eyes and then down at his lips. His heart felt full looking at his boyfriend. "I love you so much," he breathed out lustfully. He moved closer, feeling Sharky's body pressing against him, and he sighed softly, feeling the heat between their bodies.

Sharky leaned in closer, capturing Kenny's lips in a gentle kiss. He knew that Kenny was still scared and anxious, but he wanted to show him that he was there for him and that he would protect him. He deepened the kiss, their tongues dancing together, a subtle reminder of the intimacy they shared. As they broke apart, Sharky's fingers trailed down Kenny's chest, soothingly, before coming to rest on his hip.
