Ramirah Shiloh Capri
I woke up to an empty bed, which didn't surprise me, but it still made me roll my eyes. As I turned over, I felt something behind me. My heart skipped when I spotted a bouquet of roses, accompanied by a note card that read, "Actions speak louder than words, right? - Who you think?" A grin crept onto my face as I could only assume it was from Nova.
Just as I was about to pull out my phone to text her, a knock at the door interrupted me. "Come in!" I called, and in burst Nina.
"Girl! Please unblock Nova! She's blowing up my phone about waking you up!" She barged in, phone in hand, with Nova's face on FaceTime.
"Well, good morning to you too, bestie," I said, trying to contain my laughter as I took the phone.
"Y'all are already getting on my nerves! Damn, just unblock her!" Nina huffed, crossing her arms.
"Good morning, Nova. Thank you for my flowers." I glanced at the phone, where Nova was shifting around in the backseat of a car.
"Ramirah—never mind. Good morning. Can you be ready in an hour and a half?" she asked, her eyes lighting up the screen.
"I can make myself available, as long as the group doesn't have plans," I replied, and she stared at me blankly.
"What does the group have to do with us?" she asked, cutting her eyes at me.
"Clearly, we're part of that group, aren't we, Nina?" I shot back, and she shook her head throwing her hands up.
"Leave me out of it!" she said, covering her ears.
"Exactly. Just get ready, bro. Stop playing with me," she said, trying to keep her cool obviously.
"Nobody's playing with you, damn!" I shot back, my annoyance creeping in. Nina's attitude was grating on me, and Nova always think somebody got an attitude with her, like she my damn mama.
"Just unblock me please mama, and I'll see you soon," Nova said, her voice dripping with annoyance, and I hung up on her, fully aware it would irritate her. Knowing her calling me mama and saying please always made my girl sticky.
"You're both so annoying! Oh my goodness!" Nina laughed, shaking her head.
"That's her. I don't know what's wrong with her," I mumbled, scrolling through my contacts to unblock Nova. Just then, a message came in.
My Solana: Stop playing with me so much, Ramirah, dead ass.
You always think somebody's playing, Nova. Nobody's playing with you.
My Solana: Just get dressed, Ramirah.
"No, it's both of y'all. You need to talk and figure things out. Y'all were just in here having loud ass crazy sex until the damn sun came up, and now you're arguing on the phone? Get it together," she stressed, making me laugh a little because we could never be quiet. Especially me, I told Nina she was a licktician, so so so good with her mouth and her hands and her— never mind.
Okay, maybe Nina was right. There were definitely things we needed to address, and perhaps we should have talked it out before I let her fuck me speechless. But damn, the sex was definitely missed. I can't say I regret it at all.
"You're right. Ugh. I just don't know. I hate what she did. It was so dumb. She made a promise and then went back over there for whatever reason, making me feel stupid. Now we're on this trip, and all these old unresolved feelings are coming back up, mixed with this ongoing sexual tension. It's a recipe for disaster," I admitted, rummaging through my drawers for something cute to wear for my "date" with Nova.
