Chapter Fourteen

Pinkie Pie(Springpaw)'s POV

I stood next to Thistleclaw, my new mentor, along with a bunch of other Dark Forest cats. Everyone was here tonight.

Must be important. Hopefully its fun!, I thought.

I looked up when I heard Tigerstar's yowl.

"My Clanmates! Tonight is a glorious night!", he began.

Tigerstar's words brought the Dark Forest cats' attention to him.

"My Clanmates, my friends. Apprentices, warriors. We come here tonight, not to wage peace, but war!" Tigerstar yowled again.

Cheers boomed around the clearing. I found myself adding to the cheers.

Tigerstar held up his paw to quiet all of us down.

He spoke in a loud voice, but it was calmer. "We come here tonight, waging war. I hereby proclaim that we will attack the Clans in seven days from tonight. When the moon is just a slice of light in the sky, we will attack!"

More yowls rang across the clearing. I felt my mouth shape a grin, and I unsheathed my claws. Thistleclaw looked at me, surprised, then smiled and unsheathed his claws.

Tigerstar kept speaking. "For the next six nights, we will go into the Clans' territory, and plot our attack. On the night of our attack, I will call all of you here once again, and split you into four groups. Each group will attack a seperate Clan."

Cats started to calm down, but then Tigerstar looked in my direction. I realized soon enough he was looking at Thistleclaw.

"Thistleclaw, take a patrol to StarClan.", Tigerstar ordered,"Tell them of the coming battle."

Thistleclaw's eyes widened. "But why?! Wouldn't you want to keep the attack a secret? That means less cats to attack."

Tigerstar just laughed, his laugh turning into an evil cackle. "Thistleclaw, Thistleclaw, Thistleclaw. Don't you get it? I want them to know. I want them to fight."

Thistleclaw looked at Tigerstar like he just grew another head. "Are you insane?!"

Tigerstar looked at Thistleclaw again, fury blazing in his amber eyes. "Let me finish. I want them to fight, so their blood will be shed along with their, and our, descendants."

Thistleclaw just narrowed his eyes.

"Now go!!", Tigerstar howled.

Thistleclaw said something to Snowtuft, then padded away, picking a few cats from the crowd. He left with a small patrol, fading into the darkness.

Snowtuft and Rainbow Dash padded up to me.

"Come, Springpaw. You will train with us for tonight.", Snowtuft ordered.

I nodded, and padded alongside Snowtuft. We eventually ended up in ThunderClan territory after a bit of walking.

Snowtuft looked at Rainbow Dash.

"You know the territory best. Give us a tour.", he ordered Rainbow.

Rainbow cocked her head. "But she's a RiverClan cat! Springpaw could use this 'tour' to destroy ThunderClan!"

Snowtuft just nodded. "You're right, but we're all Clanmates here. She will use the tour as an advantage in the battle, isn't that right, Springpaw?"

I nodded. "Yep!"

Rainbow just rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Let's go, I guess."

After Dashie lead us around ThunderClan territory, I lead Snowtuft and Rainbow around RiverClan territory. Then after that, Snowtuft showed us WindClan and ShadowClan territory.

Snowtuft took us back to the Dark Forest, and lead us into a training clearing. A gold and white tom padded out of the shrubs. He had scars on his face and long, hooked, snakelike fangs.

The tom then spoke. "I am Viperfang,", he meowed, "and I'll be training with you tonight."

I shuddered. He meow sounded like a hiss.

Viperfang and Snowtuft showed us a few moves, then told us to fight.

I got into a battle stance and unsheathed my claws. A sly grin appeared on my face. Looking at Rainbow Dash, I saw her in a different stance, surprise and determination shining in her eyes.

My smile widened when I saw her eyes glint with fear.

At Viperfang's command, I lept onto Rainbow. She tried shaking me off, but I held onto her tight. I slashed her back once or twice, then lept off. Rainbow then lunged at me as I was catching my breath. She sliced my side, then swept around and bit my front paw. Hard. I winced at the pain, but flung my paw out of her jaws. My grin reappeared when I saw a tooth fly out of her mouth. I lashed at her face, striking Dashie's cheek. She hissed as she was pinned under my grip. I started to laugh when I drew blood from her chest, making an x across her heart.

I was about to strike Dash's throat when a white paw flung me off her. I shook my head, returning to normal.

What just happened?, I thought.

Snowtuft looked back to me, fury and concern blazing in his eyes.

"Springpaw, what were you doing!? Were you trying to kill Swiftpaw?!", he growled.

"I-i-i'm sorry. I don't know what got into me...", I stuttered.

"Well, think before you try to kill your Clanmate!", Snowtuft hissed.

"Leave her be.", Viperfang meowed. "She's done nothing wrong."

Snowtuft flashed his head and glared at Viperfang. "Nothing wrong?! She almost killed Swiftpaw!"

"But she didn't.", Viperfang pointed out.

"Only because I stopped her!"

Viperfang just shrugged. "Whatever. She learned her lesson. Besides, murderous intent like that will be perfect for the battle."

Snowtuft's bristling fur began to sink back to its original state. He took in a deep breath. "I suppose you're right, Viperfang. Trainig is over for tonight.", he meowed.

Rainbow and I dipped our heads and headed off in the same direction.

Dashie stopped, and I padded next to her.

"Pinkie, what got into you?", she asked.

I thought about it for a second. "I....I don't know..."

"You...you changed, Pinkie."

I cocked my head. "How?"

Rainbow's eyes widened. "You're eyes, they were, reddish. And, your fur was flatter than normal. And that smile...it....it wasn't right.....it seemed....demonic."

My eyes widened. "Really?"

Rainbow padded closer, and wrapped her paw around me.

"I'm so sorry....", I mewed.

Rainbow put her muzzle on my forehead. "Its okay, honestly."

I took myself out of Rainbow's imbrace, and walked away, back to the waking world. I smiled at Dash.

Then I thought to myself.

Who is that monster?

Ooo! I made it interesting, I added Pinkamena into the mix! Expect the battle in a couple of chapters.
