Hooves to Paws: An MLP/Warriors fanfic

Chapter Eight

Fluttershy (Whisperpaw)'s POV

I padded out of the camp next to my mentor, Aspenbark, as we went to the Moonpool. It was almost sunset as we padded out into the cool fall air. A strong breeze hit my pelt, blowing my fur. Aspenbark and I walked in silence until Starlingheart and Yarrowpaw padded up.

"Hello, Aspenbark, Whisperpaw.", Starlingheart said to us as she came up. Yarrowpaw dipped her head to us. She smiled at me and I smiled back.

"So, how've you been, Whisperpaw?," Yarrowpaw asked.

"Great. Its nice here in WindClan, and fall is as nice as ever.", I replied.

Yarrowpaw nodded. "Leaf-fall is definitely warmer this year. ThunderClan's been well."

"That's nice to hear.", I mewed.

The four of us waited near the Moonpool. A while later, two cats padded up the rocks. One of them was black with lighter stripes, and the other was silver with a thin tail.

"Well, it took you two long enough.", Aspenbark meowed when the two toms came closer.

Moonrise just chuckled a bit and Fishtail's tailtip twitched impatiently. Yarrowpaw, Starlingheart, and I just sat and waited.

"Well, are we going to the Moonpool or not?", Fishtail snapped after a few moments of waiting.

Aspenbark held Fishtail's tone. "Well, are you going to show up, or not?", she snapped back,"Now come on."

The six of us padded into the sheltered rock where the Moonpool lay, its silver water shimmering in the moonlight. I saw the old pawprints from cats of the past as I went to the shining water. The six of us lay near the water. I touched the icy pool with my nose, and lapped a bit of the frigid water. I then let darkness sweep my vision as I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I arrived in a warm forest with lush green leaves. A cold wind blew me almost off my paws. I soon saw the leaves on the trees turn from green, to gold, to red, to black. The black leaves fell to the ground and dissolved into the soil. I was shocked now, too shocked to move. The wind howled again, and I soon felt snow blasting at my fur. The flurry was soon a blizzard. I ran from the chilling wind and snow and into a hole in a tree. The vision soon blurred away, and I found myself in a starry clearing.

Panting now, I steadied myself to my paws. I soon saw a figure approach. It was a tall, slender she-cat with thin white fur. She had a splotch of golden fur on her chest and knowing purple eyes. Though in her eyes was more than knowledge; for there was also grief. I jumped when I took in the figure. It was Princess Celestia! Dipping my head and lowering my body, I greeted the she-cat.

"Princess Celestia, its a surprise to see you here.", I mewed.

"I am not Celestia here. Here, I am known as Sunstar, a StarClan cat.", she meowed.

I nodded. "Why am I here?", I asked.

Sunstar took in a deep breath before she spoke. "Whisperpaw, I'm afraid there is a problem. A big problem. Nightstar has allied with many cats, including Dark Forest warriors. She found a way to bring the villains from our world here."

"But how?! I thought you needed a spell.", I said, shocked.

Sunstar shook her head. "The Moonpool is the border between our two worlds. Nightstar found her way back to Equestria with it.There, she rounded up all of the villains you defeated in the past. She lead those villains here, and allied with the Dark Forest cats. The Dark Forest will rise again. And they plan on suceeding this time. The Dark Forest cats are gathering an army within the Clans."

"How?!", I asked.

"They are contacting cats through their dreams. I'm afraid they have even taken your friends.", Sunstar repiled grimly. I soon realized we've been walking this entire time. I looked around and saw we were in a murky forest. An eerie green light glowed from the moon. Leafless tress shot up higher than any cat could see.

Sunstar lead me to a clearing where five cats were training. I recognized them immedeately. They were my friends. I saw five cats training them.

I looked closer and saw the true horror of this place. The five mentors were forcing my friends to fight. I saw Rainbow Dash slash Rarity's muzzle. The two cats were on the ground, sending strike after strike at each other. I stood and watched, too terrified to move. I looked behind me and saw Sunstar watching, a grim expression on her face. I kept watching. Applejack, Pinkie, and Twilight eventually went into the fight. The five she-cats were clawing and slashing each other viciously.

Eventually a brisk growl stopped the fight. "That's enough!"

I saw a slender black she-cat, almost Sunstar's size, pad into the clearing. She glared at the five cats with her icy blue eyes. I looked back at Sunstar.

"Is that...?", I whispered.

Sunstar nodded. "Yes. I just hope Luna's in there somewhere."

We padded away, back into StarClan territory.

"What do I do?", I asked Sunstar.

"Keep this secret. No Clan cat must know.", she replied.

"Why?", I asked.

"We don't want to start panic. Keep this secret. I'll give you what you need tomorrow.", Sunstar meowed. Her elegant form eventually faded away, and the world went black.

I woke up to see the sun just above the horizon. I looked at the orange water, and thought I could make out Ponyville.

Welp, that's all I got. Keep alert! I'll be adding lots more soon! Ooo...maybe that Ponyville thing will be there later,hmm?

Not saying anything, but I may be hinting....
