Fluttershy(Whisperpaw)'s POV
Three days until le battle
Going to sleep tonight was probably the hardest thing I'll ever do. I awoke in a dark clearing. My eyes adjusted to the gloom, and I saw a trickle of blood near my paws. Wait, it wasn't a trickle...it was more of a trail..or...river...
I followed the 'river' of blood. I kept walking, and eventually, bodies lay along the path. I shuddered, but stood tall. The bodies had deep wounds, all in different places, but there was one wound that was the same. All of these cats were clawed in the throat. The blood from their wounds flowed into the river, making it gush forward, like the blood of a bleeding wound. I kept walking, and the further I went, the thicker the blood trail became. More bodies lied on the sides of the trail, becoming more common as I went farther.
Near the end of the trail, there was a pile of bodies. I had to leap over them just to be able to keep going. As the trail ended, I saw the bodies go away. I kept walking, and bent a turn into a bloody clearing. I stopped in my tracks when I saw four bodies that I quickly recognized. The bodies were the bodies of my friends, Twilight, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack. Sitting near the bodies was a bright orange she-cat.
She looked right at me, her light blue eyes glowing red, her bloody face in a demonic smile.
I started to hyperventalate, then I took a deep breath. Once I calmed down, words whispered in my ears.
Light shines through the dark. Light lies even in the darkest heart of the darkest cat. Remember who you are, and let the light shine through.
The horrible vision faded, and I found myself in a clearing. It looked similar to the clearing I was once in, except there were lush plant surrounding it and it wasn't bloody. Moon and stars shined brightly in the night sky.
I jumped when I heard a rustling in the bushes. Two cats padded forward, one white, one a dark bluish gray.
"Sunstar!", I meowed out of nowhere.
Sunstar diped her head, and so did the other cat.
"Greetings, Whisperpaw. I am Moonstar.", the blue-gray cat meowed.
I knew that voice well. "Luna?"
Moonstar nodded. I noticed a patch of white fur on her chest, and it almost looked like a moon. I looked over at Sunstar and noticed a similar patch, except it was golden and shaped like a sun.
I looked back at Sunstar, and she met my gaze.
"Sunstar, was that ginger cat....Pinkie?", I asked.
Sunstar closed her eyes for a moment. She took a deep breath, sighed, then nodded.
I lowered my head. "But why? Why would she do that?"
Moonstar shook her head. "It was just a vision, Whisperpaw. It wasn't showing what she had done, but what she will do. The truth is, there's a murderer inside her."
My eyes widened, and I shrunk down a bit. "A murderer?!"
Moonstar nodded. "She can't control it. Every time she's put into battle, or she draws blood, it comes out. The monster inside her. If we don't stop her, she could kill you and your friends, along with StarClan knows how many more cats."
"But how do we stop her?"
Sunstar's knowing gaze turned from Moonstar to me. "Whisperpaw, in the midst of the coming battle, you have to find a way to pin her down. Once you do that, repeat the words that were once spoken to you."
I remembered Jayfeather's ominous words once again. "Light shines through the dark. Light lies even in the darkest heart of the darkest cat. Remember who you are, and let the light shine through..."
After I finished speaking, Moonstar and Sunstar were gone. Their spirits faded away, but their scents lingered. Eventually a new scent hit my nose. I turned to see two cats.
One of them was a dark ginger and the other was a light brown tabby.
"Whisperpaw,"the ginger cat meowed,"remember what you must do. But remember, in the heat of battle, some wish to escape. Into the light, and away from the fading dark."
The light brown cat spoke next. "Your friends still have light in them, but they need you to help them see it."
The ginger cat spoke again. "They need you to help them see who they truly are, Whisperpaw."
I nodded. "But who are you?"
The brown tabby answered my question. "I am Leafpool, and this is my sister, Squirrelflight."
Squirrelflight spoke once more. "Can you do this, Whisperpaw?"
I nodded, and the two spirits faded away. I let the world slowly turn black as I woke up.
I sat in my nest with my eyes closed.
Can I do this?
