Chapter Twenty-Four

Fluttershy (Whisperpaw)'s POV

Mysterious starry clearing

A black and grey she-cat along with about six other cats padded through the bushes. The first four cats I recognized as villains from our world. The black and grey she-cat was Queen Chyrsalis, the black tom was King Sombra, the dark brown tom was Discord, and the ginger tom was Tirek. The other two cats I recognized as Tigerstar and Thistleclaw.

"Thought you could just get away, did you?", Chrysalis hissed. "We didn't just come to this world for no reason. We came for you six. And now, someone's going to die, and I think it's you."

The six Dark Forest cats lept at us. I tried to get away, but a dark brown paw slapped me to the side, sending me sprawling straight into one of the big oaks. Discord padded over, teeth bared and claws unsheathed.

Rage boiled inside me, and I found myself screeching a battle cry and lunging at Discord. He raised a paw to defend himself, but I swatted it away, leaving a bloody gash on Discord's leg. Discord lept on me and pinned me to the ground. Hissing furiously, I struggled, landing my claws on Discord's muzzle. Discord winced and jumped in surprise, enabling me to leap up and claw his face once more. He lept at me once more, but I ended up turning around and kicked Discord's side, leaving him on the ground, struggling to catch his breath.

I looked around to see if I could help my friends. I saw Twilight and Pinkie taking on Chrysalis and Sombra sucessfully. Applejack and Rarity took on Tirek and Thistleclaw. Then I gasped in horror. Rainbow Dash was stuck against Tigerstar, pinned against a tree.

I raced over to help Rainbow Dash. She was stuck against one of the other giant oaks in the clearing. Tigerstar tried to keep the swift cat pinned, and sent swipe after swipe for her throat. I pounced on Tigerstar's back and raked my claws all the way down near his tail. Tigerstar whipped around from his struggling opponent and slashed at my face. His long claws raked my muzzle, scoring deep within my flesh. Tigerstar hissed at me and bit into my hind leg, then dragging me into the air, biting fiercely and then letting go, sending me flying.

Rainbow managed to get herself free, growling loudly as she lept at Tigerstar. She slashed at his face and chest, spitting and cursing wildly.

I ran towards the bushes at the edge of the clearing to get help when a large group of Dark Forest cats ran into the clearing. Hissing and spitting numbed my ears as the cats slashed at my pelt wildly.

"HELP!!!!!", I yowled as loud as I could.

I started to struggle in the grip of the swarm of cats. I soon realized they all looked very similar. They were all black and had icy blue eyes.

A new yowl hit my ears as a large group of the royal guard, lead by Firestar, raced into the clearing. The cats that were surrounding me dropped me to the ground when the new cats raced in. I then turned to see the chaos of the battle. Black pelts met with white and gray pelts. Yowls of pain and growls of fury could be heard everywhere.

A while later, for some reason,the battle in the clearing stopped, and all the cats circled around two toms. I padded over to see what they were watching. I poked the back of one of the royal guard. He whipped his head around the started to growl. He realized it was just me behind him, and soon stopped growling.

"Why did the battle stop?", I asked the guard.

"Those two cats there are gonna decide it, I think.", he replied, pointing his paw to two toms in the center of the clearing.

I cocked my head, then realized the two toms were Tigerstar and Firestar.

The two toms circled each other, pelts both covered in blood and wounds. Tigerstar's amber eys blazed, and Firestar's emerald eyes did too.

The two toms stopped a few moments later. They waited for the other to attack. After waiting a long while, an impatient growl made me jump.

"Oh, come on!", a cat growled.

At the growl, Tigerstar lept at Firestar, claws sinking in his shoulders. Tigerstar slammed Firestar into the ground, pinning him down. Firestar let out a yowl of pain as Tigerstar's long claws sank into his chest.

"Prepare to die, kittypet,", Tigerstar growled.

Tigerstar raised his paw to strike at Firestar when the ginger tom escaped from Tigerstar's grip. Firestar swiveled around and slashed at Tigerstar's face, clwing his cheek and tearing his ear. Tigerstar hissed angrily as Firestar met him swipe for swipe. Tigerstar's claws hit air, and Firestar's claws sank into flesh. Firestar hit Tigerstar in the shoulders and chest. Tigerstar swiped at Firestar's throat, but it was blocked with a swift paw. Firestar's straight face formed a snarl, and claws met flesh as Firestar slashed Tigerstar's throat.

Tigerstar fell to the ground, blood flowing from his wound, and rising out of his mouth.

Before he died, Tigerstar let fierce words out of his mouth. "This isn't over! We aren't defeated! Any Dark Forest cat here, head my words! This battle isn't over....", he growled.

His words of fury took his lasr breaths as his spirit faded away.

I looked around and found my friends. They were in a small group outside the herd of cats. Pinkie bounced over towards me.

"Is it over?", she asked.

I opened my jaws to reply when a paw slashed my face, sending me to the ground.

"Not yet!", Discord meowed.

I turned to see the battle had continued. A group of cats ran over and started to attack. I took a quick, deep breath, and started to slash wildy, aiming for throats. A few cats hit the ground as I clawed at them with the last of my strength. The last of the cats ran away as I fell to the ground.
