Chapter Twenty-Two

Pinkie Pie (Springpaw)'s POV

ShadowClan territory, near the border

I raced next to Fluttershy, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash, wounds on my shoulder dragging me down. Rainbow stopped and turned around.

"Pinkie, are you okay? We can stop for a second if you want...", she asked.

I shook my head. "No, I'm okay,"I replied, smiling,"and besides, we need to go!"

Rainbow nodded. "Then let's do it!", she meowed.

I started run in again, running along Fluttershy. Rarity took the lead, Rainbow running just behind her. Pine needles poked my paws, but I kept going. Yowls were soon easier to hear, and the ShadowClan camp was in sight. Tallstar and Crookedstar ran next to us and stopped in front of us. (Whoops, I almost forgot they were there, XD)

"Alright. We'll lead. You four find your friend.", Tallstar ordered.

The four of us nodded. Tallstar ran inside the camp alongside Crookedstar. Once they ran in, Rarity took the lead again. Rainbow and Fluttershy ran in after her, And I took up the rear.

Looking around the ShadowClan camp, I saw it was just as chaotic as the ThunderClan and WindClan camps. A Dark Forest cat bit my paw, and I turned and sliced his flank. Hissing at me, the tom lept at my side. I turned swiftly and bit in his back. He growled at me then went back into battle. Looking around for Twilight, I saw her with two warriors guarding the nursery.

I ran over to Twilight.

"Hey, Twilight! We need to go get Applejack! We need to get out of here!", I yowled atop the commotion.

Twilight looked hesitantly towards the nursery, then nodded. "Let's go."

Twilight and I ran towards where Rainbow, Fluttershy and Rarity were near the camp entrance. We were in the middle of the clearing when a large ginger cat flew right in front of us. I soon realized it was Hornear.

"Traitors! Getting out when the going's good? I don't think so!", he growled. He then swiped at both of us, clawing at my chest and sending Twilight flying. I lept at Hornear and raked his forehead. Blood trickling from the scratch must have blinded him, because he started to swipe at me wildly. Rainbow and Rarity lept on his back, making his yowl loudly. I clawed at his paws, sending Hornear straight to the ground. I went to get Twilight up when a dark paw sent me flying towards the camp wall.

"Traitors!", the cat growled.

A dark brown tom- Chaosfang, acctually, ran towards me and raked near my belly. I swiveled around his paw and raked near his eye. Fluttershy lept at him, rage in her yowl. She raked his back and swiped him wildly.

"We're the traitors?! You betrayed us first, Discord!", she growled in a furious tone. The fury blazed in her dark eyes, and her claws kept spilling Chaosfang's blood.

Discord looked at Fluttershy with a pleading expression, but she kept slashing at him. Rainbow and Rarity finally calmed Fluttershy down. Discord hissed at Fluttershy one last time, then went back into battle.

Fluttershy went and brought Twilight to us. The five of us ran out of the camp, Tallstar and Crookedstar nowhere in sight.

We went towards RiverClan territory when a strange yet familiar voice called to us. "Wait! We're coming with you!"

Four cats- a blue gray she-cat, a dark brown tabby tom, a fiery orange tom, and a gold and red she-cat- ran toward us.

Twilight cocked her head. "Sunset Shimmer?", she asked.

The gold and red cat nodded. "Yes, and my friends here are Bluestar, Firestar, and Bramblestar. Are all six of you here?", she asked.

I shook my head. "We still need to find Applejack. She's in RiverClan."

Sunset nodded. The eight of us raced out of ShadowClan territory into RiverClan territory. The familiar reeds started to pop up, and the pines made way for marsh. I raced faster, knowing I was closer to home.

Battle yowls became clear once again as we neared the RiverClan camp. Before we raced inside, I saw Sunset sitting near the entrance.

I cocked my head. "You're not going in?"

Sunset shook her head. "No, I'm waiting. There's no point in me going in, just for me to be stuck in there. Celestia wants me to take you to her, and I can't do that stuck in that camp. I'll wait."

I nodded. "Oh, okay!"

I ran into the camp only to run into a black and gray she-cat.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here, a traitor?", she asked.

She then swiped at my paws. I lunged at her muzzle and raked her nose. The she-cat hissed and slashed my side. I lept in the air onto her back. She picked me out of the air and flung me to the ground, pinning me down.

"Leave her alone, Chrysalis!", Twilight hissed as she lept on the she-cat's back, send her off me. Chrysalis smiled and started laughing as she raked Twilight's cheek. Twilight and Chrysalis went into the midst of battle, leaving me confused in the clearing.

I looked around for Applejack, and saw her fighting off Redwillow. She was pinned, and Redwillow unsheathed his claws, getting ready to aim for her throat.
