"So when are you gonna be back?" Virgo asks down the phone.
"Like I said, V," Krish says into his phone, weaving his way past his colleagues. "I'm flying back on Saturday."
"Good. Good. Anyway how's all tbe stuff going?" She asks.
"I don't wanna get into detail," Krish chuckles, clutching his book tighter, trying to hold everything in. "Anyway what have you been up too?"
"Oh! I was going through names today," Virgo starts.
"Honestly am I surprised?" Krish chuckles as he steps out of the Marquee him and his colleagues were gathered in and into the blazing sunlight.

Maya temples were probably one of his favourite places they'd explored for awhile, the language, architecture, all of it was just amazing. And hey, maybe whatever-his-name-is-gonna-be might be into it too?

"Oh shut up." Virgo laughs. "I thought Aster was cute."
"Aster?"
"Aster."
"Well it's certainly interesting."
"Well what would you choose then?" Virgo protests.

Krish pauses. She had a point.
"Fair point. But is that the only name you have in mind?"
"Unless you want me to call him Oliver,
then it's Aster or nothing." Virgo shrugs.

Krish rolls his eyes and chuckles.
"God, pushy much?"

"Krish!" A voice called from inside. "We need you back here!"
Krish rolls his eyes.
"Sorry, V, I gotta run. Tell Elliot and David I said hi."
"Okay, love you, bye!" Virgo says before hanging up.

"What's happened?" Krish says, as he stood at the table everyone else was gathered around.
"So we found something written in the temple but no one knows what it really says," one of his colleagues starts. "And apparently you're good at translations so..."
He spins a piece paper to face him.
"Alex said it might be a prophecy or something."

Krish opens his book and starts scanning the pages.
"He's not far off." He says before landing on a page scribbled with letters and words, before placing on the table next to the piece of paper.
He reads through it for a minute.
"I'd need to work on it." Krish says, looking up."It's quite a long one. Who wrote this down?"

Everyone turns to look at another girl at the table. She folds her arms.
"I was rushing leave me alone." She rolls her eyes.
"Whatever, it's fine." Krish looks back at the paper before back up. "When are we next in that temple?"
"Today was the last day for that one apparently." Another says.

Krish sighs.
"Fuck. Do we have any plans next month? Is the Egypt visit scrapped?"
"Yeah, why?" Someone else says.
"I'd need to come back to figure this out." Krish explains. "Next month maybe?"
"Isn't your wife due next month though?"
"Two months. But still. This is important."

Everyone goes silent.
"So next month?" He says again, more firmly.
They all nod.
"Yep."
"Yeah."
"Okay."
Krish picks up the piece of paper, puts in his book, shuts it and picks up the book.

"You guys go back to what you were doing, I'll try and figure some of this out." Krish says before walking back outside in the sun.

Krish drops down onto the floor and opens the book.
God, this was not going to be easy. Cassie's handwriting was messy at the best of times but this was just horrific.
After afew minutes he picks up afew words.
A date, a time.
15/?? (He couldn't figure out the month) /2024
Huh.
Maya prophecy's were never good.
For all he knew, the world could be end and he wouldn't know until next month.
Let's just hope he makes it until then.

But hey, maybe Aster could figure it out for him when he's older?
