Virgo didn't understand what was happening to her. She'd been feeling... funny lately. Not the nice kinda of funny. The kind of funny she felt when Elliot said he could hear her singing in the shower.

Elliot.

He seemed to be one of the main reasons. For the past few weeks, Virgo had been feeling something in her stomach whenever walking to school with Elliot. It was the middle of winter, yet she felt warm all the time she was around him.
He was either a walking radiator, or he was giving her a fever.

It all started around mid November. Not unlike any other day. Wake up, have a shower, sing in the shower, get out the shower, "I hear you singing by the way" "fuck you" "fuck you too", get dressed, have breakfast, go to school.

Walking to school was the same every day. They'd reach the fields, Elliot was convinced he'd be able to jump over the fence, but end up falling flat on his face, Virgo would help him up, and they'd be on their way.

But something about this morning seemed different. Her keeps felt warm for a November morning. Too warm.

"Bet you I can jump the-" Elliot smirks
"Don't even try Elliot Hooper." Virgo interrupts. "We go through this every day."
"So what?"
"So everything! You could get hurt!"
"I haven't before." Elliot rolls his eyes.
"You said that yesterday." Virgo says, gesturing to the bruise on his hand. Virgo wouldn't be surprised if he'd broken his hand from yesterdays attempt.

But like always, she finds herself holding his bag, and walking his futile attempts at Parkour.
And like always, he falls straight over.
Virgo huffs, rolling her eyes and opening the gate of the fence.

"Told you your idea was suboptimal." Virgo says with a weary sigh, holding her hand out.
Elliot rolls his eyes and takes her hand.
Virgo couldn't explain it. But she felt... weird, when he took her hand. She shakes the feeling off and pulls him up, and handing over his school bag again.
"I don't understand, why do you keep attempting this if you're going to fail every time?" Virgo raises an eyebrow.
"It's practice, not failing," Elliot says. "Difference."
"Difference my ass." Virgo says.

Elliot laughs.
Virgo rolls her eyes.

That felt weird. She'd pulling Elliot up millions of times and never felt a thing at all. And suddenly there's this... spark, you could call it. Virgo didn't like it. She also felt warm. Really warm. Is she wearing too many layers?

"Are you okay?" Elliot's voice snaps Virgo out of her thoughts. Elliot raises an eyebrow.
"Uhh...." Virgo stammers. "....I'm great."
"You've been acting weird lately." Elliot says.
"No I haven't!" Virgo protests, "I've been perfectly normal! I-"
"Okay!" Elliot interrupts, his hands raised in front of him. "I get it, I get it Jeez..." He puts his hands into his pockets. "Calm down."

Virgo stiffens.
"I am calm." She says firmly.
Elliot rolls his eyes.
"You know sometimes I wonder about you." He smirks.
"Didn't know you could." Virgo teases with a grin.
Elliot shoves her arm.
"Be quiet." He says, with a matching grin.

Virgo rubs her arm lightly. That odd feeling again. She'd have to see the nurse when she got to school. Something was wrong with her.

"Isn't he your cousin?" Alisha raises an eyebrow. "Why would you have a crush on your cousin?"
"It's not a crush, Alisha." Virgo says for what felt like the millionth time that lunch. Virgo has tried to explain what had been going on to Alisha Carr, one of her closest friends at school.
And she was having a hard time getting Alisha to understand.
"And no, he's not."
"But in year eight-"
"Never been cousins."

Alisha stares for a moment before brushing it off.
"I think I'm coming down with something." Virgo says.
"You sure are." Alisha rolls her eyes.
Virgos furrows her eyebrows.
Her feeling for Elliot were purely platonic, and she was sure Elliot felt the same

"I think I like Virgo." Elliot says at lunch.
Charlie rolls his eyes.
"Took you long enough to realise?"
Elliot scowls.
"Shut up."

Elliot been denying it for ages, even though he knew it had started just after Virgo moved in, he still refused to accept the fact.
Virgo was weird.
Virgo was annoying.
Virgo was.... a girl...
Ew.

"I could tell since she moved." Charlie says, munching down on a slice of pizza. "You always flirt with eachother."
"No we don't!"

Charlie takes another bite of his Pizza.
"Remember last week in PSHE?"
Elliot nods. "Yeah, why?"
"Miss Macall mentioned love at first sight and you both turned and smirked at eachother."
"....thats an inside joke."
"Sure it is."

Elliot rolls his eyes and stabs some pasta with his fork and eats it. Charlie didn't get it. It's not like he did like Virgo. He just thought he did. There's a difference... Anyway, Virgo wasn't even his type or anything.
But yet again, he didn't really have a type...

"You gonna tell her?" Charlie says through a mouthful of pizza.
Elliot allmost choked.
"No!?"

The thought of it made him want to sick up the Pasta he'd just eaten. He glances at Virgo, who was sat on the other side of the lunch hall with her friend - Alisha.
Like the weird perfectionist she was, everything about Virgo was in pristine condition. Dark brown, way hair was completely smooth, her shirt was ironed and tucked into her skirt and her blazer and positioned perfectly on her shoulders and chest. She was fiddling with the big part of her tie as she spoke, a flustered smile on her lips and her cheeks slightly pink.

"Elliot!" Charlie says,
Elliot snaps out of his... state.
"Yeah?"
"You were staring by at her again." He says with a smirk.

"He was just staring right at you." Alisha says smugly.
"What!?" Virgo practically yells, turning her head around to see Elliot on the other side of the hall, blushing and talking fast to his friend Charlie.
"Mhm." Alisha nods. "You're both horrifically down bad for eachother."
"What does that even mean?" Virgo raises an eyebrow.
Alisha waves a hand in dismissal.

Virgo turns to look at Elliot again who was staring at her again, his eyes widen and he turns back to Charlie.
She watches him get up and leave with Charlie.

There was something about that boy, Elliot Hooper. She couldn't quite pin point it, but it was certainly a feeling she didn't want to loose.
