You'd think being 13 and saving the world would make you pretty famous right? Wrong.
As Elliot Hooper walked through the school corridors, the feeling of triumph of saving the world, was starting to ware off.
With Virgo chatting endlessly in his ear about Maths and being back at school for the first time in two weeks along with the endless piles of revision he had for the end of year tests, saying he was overwhelmed was an understatement. The amount of schoolwork he'd missed was insane, and Virgo yapping on about how she'd studied most of the two weeks didn't help.

"-but then I don't see how and why you would need to know the radius of a circle," Virgo rants on. "It's simply useless knowledge.
Elliot nods slowly.
"Uh-huh"
"And science was the worst," Virgo says, oblivious to the fact that she was talking at him, not to him. "Solvents and Solutes, I spent half my time trying to figure out what they are."
"Yeah."
Virgo pauses and turns to look at Elliot.
"Are you actually listening?" She asks.
"Yup." Elliot nods, not listening.
Virgo huffs and rolls her eyes.
"Elliot, you need to be listening you've missed out on so much school work." Virgo folds her arms. "You're lucky I didn't sit you down and start tutoring you half way through the week."
Elliot snaps back to reality.
"What?"
"Oh so now you're listening..." Virgo mutters.
"Shut up, I'm just tired." Elliot shoots back. "You'd be too if you killed off a death daemon two weeks ago."

Virgo raises an eyebrow.
"Thanatos is the least of your concern right now." She says, straightening her blazer.
Elliot and Virgo line up outside Mr Boils classroom, history.
"Thanatos is currently plotting to kill me under stone henge," Elliot says bluntly. "And we live at least a mile away from there so..."
Virgo rolls her eyes and throws her hands up in despair.

Elliot looked over Virgos shoulder to see a group of two or three kids staring at him. Amber, Charlie and Melanie, the mythology kids. No surprise. When he and Virgo were talking about collecting the chaos stones, and the gods and Hypnos and Thanatos, they always seemed to be staring at him. Maybe they thought he was crazy, maybe they wanted to talk to him, who knows? Charlie turns around to talk to Melanie and Amber.

Ollie walks up behind them and Elliot turns to face him.
"Hey Ollie," Elliot says.
Ollie had his inside blazer pocket out, looking into it, probably on his phone.
Elliot and Ollie used to be really good friends in year seven, practically hanging out everyday. But when Elliot's mum got sick, his grades and attendance started to drop, and thus - so did Ollie's friendship.
Ollie was essentially the opposite of Elliot, Curly brown hair, lightly tanned and tall. He was really sporty and had too many friends to count. Apparently he was already signed up to a sports team, but that was a rumour. Though Elliot hadn't stopped pranking since the war agains Thanatos and Him, he'd died down on pranking A LOT. But for Ollie, it seemed the opposite.

Ollie looks up and drops his phone in his pocket.
"Hm?" Ollie says. "Oh hey Elliot, where've you been? You've been absent for ages this year."
Elliot shoots a small sideward glance at Virgo, her doing to same to him.
"It's a long story." Elliot sighs. "Is it a sub or is Sir back on now?"
"No it's still subs." Ollie leans against the wall. "We had Mr Sopweed last week, it was carnage."
"What happened?" Virgo asks.
Ollie points at a group of girls, the stereotypical Chavy looking girls you'd see at every school.
"They happened."
"Ohhh..." Elliot nods "I see."
"What?" Virgo looks confused.
"I'll explain later."

Elliot and Virgo walked home in the darkening daylight, Virgo still chatting about the day.
"I still don't understand, PE is my best subject how could no one pick me!" She exclaimed.
"Virgo, if I'm being honestly, you're shit at PE." Elliot says.
"I am NOT!" Virgo yells back.
Elliot rolls his eyes. "You can't even kick a ball, let alone play rounders."
Virgo rambles on and on about all her other subject.
They made it through the fields and made it past stone henge. The two of them stare at it.

"It's insane that almost every mythology is down there." Elliot says. "What's it called?"
"The diabalon." Virgo says. "And yeah it's weird. Anyway, come on."
Virgo continues on while Elliot stares at stone henge for a few more moments.

"Dichlyn." A voice whispers.
Elliot jumps and looks around.
What the fuck?
Virgo turns around.
"You coming."

Elliot stares at stone henge for afew seconds again.
"Uh.. yeah." Elliot follows Virgo.

That voice didn't come from anything. It came from stone henge. Elliot just hoped he could avoid it until it was too late.
