I sat down, huffing and puffing - completely out of breath.
I watched as Jeff - he still looked like he was a blood thirsty killer - walked, almost calmly, up to Slender's dead body. He kicked the head. And kicked it again. And again. Over and over he kicked it, without losing force or momentum.
"You dirty, worthless, piece of crap!" He yelled. Kicking his head for the final time.
"Dang, did we miss the fight?" I heard a voice say behind me. I flinched, the guy scared me half to death.
The mysterious man walked into my line of sight. And I saw a boy with blonde hair and elf ears, I immediately recognized him as Ben Drowned.
He walked up to me and surveyed me. Like I was an animal in a pen. I didn't have the energy to be mad at him.
"Hey Jeff! Is this your girl?" He said, looking over at Jeff. "Jeff?" I watched him walk over to Jeff, concern on his face. "Hey, buddy...? Oh great. He's like an animal right now." He glanced at me, smiled an devilish grin, then looked back at Jeff. "I can fix this!"
Ben raised his arm and slapped Jeff as hard as he could, yelling 'snap out of it!' Jeff shook his head vigorously, and I could see that he regained his humanity back.
"What the hell Ben! Why did you hit me!"
"For your lady friend!" He said, pointing in my direction.
"Addilyn!" He exclaimed, running to me. He sat in front of me, gazing directly into my eyes. "Are you okay? Your not hurt are you?" He said quietly.
"Not really." I lied, my wrist hurt really bad. "Are you okay? You look pretty beat up..."
He smiled. "Nothing I can't handle! I'll be fine. Come on, let's get you off the dirty ground!" He said, standing up and outstretching his hand.
I reached my hand up and grasped his. He pulled me up, and I winced - realizing that I used my sprained wrist.
"You winced, what's wrong?" He said, concern clearly showing in his expression.
"It's nothing, really!" I said with a smile, trying to get him to stop worrying himself on me.
"Addilyn. Tell me what's wrong." He said, his face getting serious.
"My wrist... I think I sprained it..." I said, ashamed.
He looked down at my wrist and loosened his grip on it. "I'm sorry... Was is when that jerk dropped you?" he asked, staring back into my eyes.
Is it wrong that I felt like I could melt away under his gaze? "Yeah... It doesn't hurt that much though, I think it will be fine!" I lied again, it hurt really bad. And obviously he saw right through my lie, again.
"Don't lie, I know it hurts you. You don't have to act tough for me."
"How the hell did you get a stick in his head?!" A new voice said loudly. We both look over to the slumped over body of Slenderman to find a brunette boy with orange-ish glasses, he was staring down at Slender's body. Ticci Toby.
"I don't know." I said quietly, I didn't even care if he could hear me or not. He could.
"Jeff! Is that your girl? She looks so... normal!" He said like it was a bad thing. Toby hopped over to me, and Ben followed behind- I'm starting to feel more and more like an animal with all this gawking their doing at me!
"Give her some space! She's not some creature behind bars at the zoo!" Jeff snapped at them, shooing them away with his knife. They both backed away a few steps and Jeff turned to face me again.
