9 - Pond in the Woods

I walked home silently. Jeff had to go after Toby and Ben dragged him away from me. It was still raining, but I wasn't cold. I still had his sweater. Oh crap, I still have his sweater! Do I turn back and give it back? or continue walking home and give it back later? I can't go back, but what will I say when Alexis sees it, or anybody else for that matter.

I hurried home, not wanting anyone to notice me - or the blood stained sweater. I saw their house, it was only two blocks away from me now. Great! I'm almost there! Just need to run there before anyone can stop me. Too late.

A women exiting her house to the left of me saw me and asked if I was okay when seeing the sweater. I gave her a quick yes, trying to get home.

But she wouldn't let me leave. "Are you sure? There's an awful lot of blood on your sweater..."

"It's not mine." I stated simply, it was the truth. She looked at me like I just killed someone, but it wasn't me who killed... it was Jeff.

"Then... who's is it?" The woman asked nervously. She took a step back hesitantly.

"There was a bloody rabbit, I tried to help it. but it died. now im covered in rabbit blood." I lied.

"Oh! okay... I'm glad to hear your okay! Sorry about that rabbit..." She said awkwardly.

I ran away from her and reached the porch of their house. Rachel's car wasn't in the driveway, great, she's not home yet.

I opened the door and immediately Lexy and Tay are both yelling at me.

"Where the hell have you been for two hours?!" Taylor yelled, racing to me and trapping me in a bear hug.

"It's been two hours?" Wow. time flies fast...

"Yes it has." Alexis said, then she saw my sweatshirt and she gave me a look that said: Ooh, he gave you his sweater, aaw!

I gave responded to her look with a look that said: Shut up!

Taylor released me and looked down. She gave me a funny look.

"Oh! don't worry! I was by a store, and it had this knock-off sweater of Jeff the Killer, so I had to buy it!" I said, nice save! I gave a small wink to Alexis without Taylor noticing.

"Oh... That makes A TON of sense!" she said, believing my lie. "That explains why you were gone for so long, you were in town."

"Yes it does." Alexis said, grabbing both of our arms and dragging us away from the doorway.

I changed out of the sweater and folded it up and hid it, hoping that I could see Jeff soon again.

The rest of the day was super boring. Like always. Rachel came home an hour later to find us playing Minecraft on the Xbox 360 together. She made all of us spaghetti for dinner, and we ate it like we were wolves, devouring a carcass.

Taylor asked if she could spend the night, cause she didn't feel like walking home in the rain, and her parents had the night shift tonight. So they couldn't come pick her up. Rachel agreed and we were happy, and excited for a slumber party!

we all got into our pajamas, Alexis borrowed Taylor a pair, and turned on Netflix in her room. Three episodes later Alexis said out of the blue: "Hey Addy, if your boyfriend stops by in the middle of the night again, make sure he doesn't wake us, kay?" She said with a devilish smile.

"OH MY GOD! YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND?!" Tay said excitedly. "And he's come over in the night before? Do tell the details women!"

"Really Lexy, great! thank you!" I said sarcastically.
