Kai's backstory

Kai Mizutani grew up in a house by a forest with his two mums who adopted him when he was six years old.

They told him to treat everyone with respect unless they treat him badly.

When Kai was twelve, him and his mums were driving home, but they got into a car crash.

Luckily for Kai, a vampire bit him, which turned him into a vampire that saved him from his death.

"What the- what happened? Who are you?" He asked the vampire.

"I'm Marcus and my deadname was Maria. I turned you into a vampire." The vampire responded to Kai's question.

Since Kai had two mums, they taught him about LGBTQ when they first adopted him. So he knew what he meant by Marcus's deadname.

"What happened to my moms?"

"I'm sorry but I wasn't able to save them in time."

Kai broke down in tears. Marcus went to comfort him as the shorter was curled into a ball, crying his eyes out. I kind of want lesbian mums tbh.

Once Kai finished crying, Marcus took something from his pocket.

"Here is a ring. You have to wear it in order to go outside of the forest." Marcus said. Kai reluctantly took it and put it on.

And just like that, he's been cold on others. However when he encounters an upset child, he comforts them with a soft tone in his voice.

Now let's move on to fifteen year old Kai where he meets an important person in his life.

Since Kai lives in the forest he usually climbs up on trees to look at the sky. He doesn't live with Marcus because his house is too small for two people to live in.

So as he was looking at the night sky on a high tree branch, he heard a voice from the ground.

"Hey! Hello! What are you doing up there?" The boy said.

Who the fuck is he? Kai thought to himself. He looked down to where the voice was coming from.

It was a boy with black hair and pale skin. Kai couldn't see his eyes because he was too high above the ground.

Since the boy wouldn't leave him alone, he jumped down from the tree branch directly in front of him.

Huh, light brown eyes. Pretty He thought to himself. He realises how short he is.

And yeah you know what happens next. He moves in with Ash blah blah blah.

After two months of living with him, he eventually falls for him. Why? Because it's Ash.

How does he know what happened to the vampires that got caught? Well basically, he was out with a vampire he hated but the vampire got caught and tortured. Kai did not want to go through that so he never goes out the forest.

Now we get to where Aneira turned half vampire. Basically, he meets her when Ash comes back.

"Oh Kai! This is my younger sister, Aneira!"

"Hello!"

Kai looked at her. She doesn't really look similar to Ash except for the skin colour.

"How did you turn her into a vampire with people around?"

"Well, after I saw her get ran over, I noticed that she was my sister so I took her a an alleyway with no one around and turned her into a half vampire."

Kai understood. He likes it when Ash talks to him, even if it's about something gruesome.

Then it came to the day, when Kai told him about his feelings towards Ash. However they both said it at the same time so now they're dating.
