The evening of the event arrived. Happiness and excitement filled the hallways. Shannon was waiting for her friends in the corner. When she saw Arjun standing near the food stall, looking constantly at the sky. She walked up to him and snapped her fingers. 'Which world are you in.'

Arjun replied startled. 'Shannon'.

'Yes, you look so tensed and why are you looking at the sky repeatedly.'

'That is.......... Arjun started but Shannon interrupted him and spoke. 'Do not even think about lying. First of all, you are standing here alone and that mental friend of yours is not around. Neither is the other sensible one.'

'My friends are both sensible.'

'Really.' Shannon asked and suddenly paused. 'You are trying to change the topic.'

'So, you are not exactly a gullible person.' Arjun replied laughing.

'In your dreams.' Shannon said smiling. 'You come to the point. You are looking at the sky in such a way that you are going to lose something today.'

'There isn't much left for me to lose anyway.' Arjun replied as his smile faded away.

'I didn't get you.' Shannon said, knowing that it wasn't something pleasant to hear.

'Only thing left for me to lose is an elder brother and a house filled with memories.' Arjun replied.

Shannon could see the pain in his eyes as she said. 'I am sorry.'

'You no need to be. I am used to people questioning me...................a lot. They simply do not realize that others also have feelings.'

'Questioning a lot about the prophecy.' Shannon asked before she could stop herself.

'How come you know about it? You were living on earth and yet you know about the things that happen in Light.' Arjun asked raising his eyebrows.

'No need to boil your head. My friends told.' Shannon replied looking sideways.

'Your friends told.' Arjun repeated. 'When did 'I' become a matter of discussion.'

'On the day your mental friend poured an entire cauldron of potion into my textbook.' Shannon replied frustrated remembering the events on her first day of school.

'So, you must have heard a lot about my family, right.' Arjun asked.

'No, they didn't say anything wrong. Just about the prophecy, secret, torture, curse. All of that stuff.' Shannon quickly added. 'I know that they are just rumors.'

'No, they aren't.' Arjun replied frankly.

'What' Shannon asked surprised. 'The prophecy, torture, curse all are true. Your parent knew about the whereabouts of Andre's son.'

'Maybe but why should I tell you.'

'Oh, I get it. You are pulling my leg.'

'Maybe.' Arjun said trying to stop laughing and look serious. 'But maybe not.'

'What did take place that day actually.'

'Shannon, I will say about it but I can't say everything, neither should you say about it to anyone.' Shannon nodded in agreement.

'My father was a protector and he had a childhood friend. Both of them grew up together. So, there weren't many secrets between them.' Arjun said.

But Shannon was confused as he was talking about his father's friend instead of telling him what happened to his father.
