'What problem did our headmaster and headmistress do that you decided to reschedule your tight schedule to come to our humble academy.'

'I do not think it is necessary for others to know about it.'

Professor's face flushed as he looked into Melvin's eyes and spoke. 'I am in a bit of a hurry. And as I had very good luck written on my fate to see you. Hence, I would like to inform you, that Arjun has started to give backword answers and has started to be irresponsible.'

'Irresponsible in what ways.'

'He has lost a book from the library and was called to the principal's office today and I think the punishment was severe. It wouldn't end well if he continued with it.'

'The punishment was- Arjun started to say but Melvin covered his mouth not allowing him to say anything. Looking pleased with himself, the professor said. 'Good to see you, Melvin.'

'It was a pleasure meeting you again professor.'

Once Professor Abelforal was out of sight. Andy said. 'Shannon isn't he- your professor.'

But before she could answer, Andy said. 'Why didn't you tell me that he such a-

'Wordless.' Arjun asked.

'I never felt irritated by his words before.' Shannon replied.

'You can't expect anything less from aerasians belonging to the wizarding family.' Melvin told then turning to Arjun he asked. 'What did he mean by Backword answering.'

'I made sure he understood the fact that I won't sit quiet if he insults me.' Arjun answered.

'He is your professor. You should respect him.'

'You are asking me to respect him. You are also getting irritated by him.'

'He is not my professor and neither was he. He is your professor.'

'Big deal.'

'You are hopeless.' Melvin replied. 'I am taking this wand of yours for now. What explanation are you going to give Ron or Alen if they see it with you? I do not want them to know anything now.'

'You can keep it. I do not know how to use it but you need to give it back later.' Arjun replied.

'Good, I will give it to you after your graduation.'

'After my graduation means after seven years.'

'Yes, because I wouldn't be surprised if I find out, you blasted your professor's head. Because he irritated you so much, you felt his head was unnecessary.'

'That day you will even shock Ron.' Andy said sarcastically.

'I am not that paranoid.' Arjun yelled.

Melvin's phone started to ring again. Looking at the phone he said. 'Matilda! How could I forget there was a court meeting?

Shannon, I have sent a package to you. Happy birthday.' Melvin said.

'Thank you.' She replied.

'Three of you be careful and try to stay out of trouble.' Melvin said and then he vanished.

'You got a ton of presents today.' Arjun said.

'Yes, and I am excited to open them.' Shannon replied. 'Okay, you both head back to the apartment. I will use the restroom-  really quick.' And she ran out of sight.

'Andy!' Arjun said. 'She is off to the waterbody in the outer courtyard. Please go after her. My presence may make it more difficult for her. She needs you now the most. Even though she is going to deny it.'

'Are you sure? She looked pretty much okay to me.'

'Trust me, she isn't.'

'Okay then, I will go check on her.' Andy replied. 'Catch you later.'

Arjun wasn't wrong. Shannon indeed was sitting near the water body. she had dipped her head and wrapped her arms around herself. 'Shannon' Andy called out, silently.

She sat down next to her, 'what are you doing here.'

'I don't know how I am going to do this.' Shannon replied. 'I don't have what it takes to finish Veronica.'

'Shannon, you were chosen for this. Your destiny is this. You do have what it takes.'

Amber flecks shimmered in her irises. 'What makes you think -destiny would choose me? I am pathetic in the art of magic. There must be some misunderstandings. I am not born for any of this.'

'From what I know. Destiny isn't like clear water.' Andy stood up and threw a stone into the water. Pointing at the ripple effect, she said. 'Instead, it goes round and round. But at the end of the day, it stops at the same place from where it started.

It will answer every query of yours but you need to search for your answers. It won't present itself in front of you.'

Shannon recalled Mrs Winson's words. 'Sometimes the journey to find the truth is more important than the truth itself.'

'What did you say now.' asked Andy.

'Mrs Winson told me 'Sometimes the journey to find the truth is more important than the truth itself.' I think she meant; that I need to search for my answers rather than sit ideal waiting for them to present themselves.'

'Maybe.'

'Thank you, Andy.'

'Don't thank me. Thank Arjun for asking me to check on you.'

'Arjun.' Shannon asked shocked.

'Yeah, he told me, you will be here. and I came here in search of you.'

'Arjun.' Shannon whispered. 'There are yet some pieces of this puzzle that are left to solve.'
