It was the 8th of July, half past two in the morning. When the usually busy roads were empty, even the voice of leaves fluttering could be heard. Except for a girl child's voice that echoes throughout the hospital near the roadside. Born just three and a half an hour before. Her mother had just put her to sleep and both the parents were in a serious discussion.

'So, what are we going to name her.' Smitha asked with a gentle smile.

'What about Shannon Richards.' Mahesh replied, rubbing his hands gently on the baby's head.

'Shannon Andre Mahesh is better. In earth 'Richards' is a common name, but in our world. The entire family of Richard is dead. People will figure out her identity on the spot.'

'You are right, after all when she turns thirteen years old. We would have to send her back to our world, 'Light'.'

'Speaking of it, I do not understand one thing. How did the dragon come out of its valley yesterday and that too, on the same day, Shannon was born.'

'Smitha, even though we saw, all of them getting pulled into the portal. Both of us suspect of one person to be out anyway.' Mahesh stopped, then taking a deep breath, continued. 'You know who I am talking about. He must have escaped through the gem.'

'And to add the worries yesterday was the DARK MOON OF THIRTEEN YEARS.'

'Whatever happens, we shall keep our daughter safe from all evil hands. Moreover, we live on Earth and no one can track us yet. Two years have passed since the prediction was made.' He said, then from his pocket, he took out a platinum ring which was of a small width. On the ring's either side, there were two dragons, drawing inscribed in the opposite direction.

'The ring of the royal dragons will keep her safe. Even, though it can give away her identity. It is the only thing that will protect her from the DARKS. Anyways, there are only a few who can recognize the ring.'

Mahesh put the ring into the fingers of the child but it was too big for the child's fingers. Catching the ring in the small fingers of the baby he said

'The ring of the royal dragons. I henceforth command you to create a shield that will not let any spell penetrate inside.' As he spoke the ring glowed and became small enough to fit the finger of the child.

Behind the window, a hooded figure was watching over them. A songbird sat on the window still.

'Birdee.' He called. 'Our heroine is born.'

The child in the deep sleep never knew what was the legend it was to make for the world. The child brings back the ray of hope for the battle that brings despair and disappointment to anything that exists- was born.
