Chapter 23: Auto Coaches

It was a bright day on Paradise Island, and (Y/N) looked at the order she had made.

"I'm sure Duck and Oliver will be very surprised by this," she said.

Soon, (Y/N) called Duck and Oliver together, as Percy shunted some coaches to the platform. They were painted in GWR Cream and Brown Coach liveries, and had bells on their cabs.

"Duck, Oliver," said (Y/N), "I'm proud to present you with these Auto Coaches I managed to find in a storage shed."

"Oh my!" said Duck, "Auto Coaches! I haven't seen them since the days of the Great Western. Aren't you excited Oliver!"

However, Oliver was just staring at two of the coaches, and they soon looked at Oliver.

"Oliver?" asked the lead coach.

"ISABEL!! DULCIE!! IT'S YOU!!!" cried Oliver.

"Do you know these coaches Oliver?" asked Duck.

"Well," said Oliver, "I actually worked with these two coaches on the mainland, back in the days of the Great Western. However...."

1967.....

"I was to sent for scrap."

Oliver got the news, and quickly got ready to leave.

"Oliver!" said Dulcie, "Don't take me!! I'll only slow you down!"

"Dulcie!" said Oliver, "We stick together, no mater what!"

"Oliver," said Dulcie, "I'll stay behind, throw them off. Just be safe."

"So after that, we left."

4 months later.....

Oliver was hiding in the abandoned siding, and waited for the diesels to leave. Oliver's fireman looked at his coal and water, and he said, "We've only got enough coal for a quick sprint."

"How fast?" asked Oliver.

"Well," said his driver, "We'd have to leave one of the rolling stock behind."

"Leave me," said Isabel, "I'm sure they have other coaches on Sodor."

"No! Isabel!! We lost Dulcie, I ca-"

"Mr. Oliver," said Toad, "I feel driver and fireman might be right."

"Don't worry about me Oliver," said Isabel, "Go to Sodor, and you and Toad live your lives for me. That's all I ask of you."

"But..... Isabel...."

"Go Oliver! NOW!!"

Isabel was uncoupled from the train, and Oliver and Toad hurried for Sodor. They raced into Barrow-In-Furness, but Oliver was slowing down.

"I guess I misread how much coal we had," said the fireman.

Oliver was quickly diverted into a sighting, and hid from view. Oliver panicked, until he heard puffing from a steam engine. Quickly, using the last bit of steam he had, he got the attention of the engine.

"That sounds like a steam engine."

Present.....

"What happened to you after I left?" asked Oliver.

"Well," said Isabel, "We were a part of a rolling stock collection, but, it wasn't fun just standing there."

"(Y/N) found us," said Dulce, "Along with Alice and Mirabel here. When she said that we'd be working with a pair of Great Western engines, we got excited."

"Just never imagined it would be you," said Isabel.

"Well Oliver," said Duck, "You take Isabel and Dulce?"

"Of course!" said Oliver, "Come on you two!!"

Soon, the two Great Western Engines were aquatinted with their coaches, and Toad was greatly surprised by the two Autocoaches. However, two engines would be rather rude to them on their first encounter, but that's another story.
