It was winter in Britain, and (Y/N) had set up a series or railtours on the mainland, to be pulled by Penny, with a minor change to her. On her tender, written in bold white, was 'Polar Express'. Penny felt proud. She was the Polar Express once more.
"I'm so excited!" she said to the others, "It's been years since I wore this logo!! But now, i get to wear it once more!!"
"Have fun Penny," said Richard.
"And be careful," said Edward, "The rails are very slick now that winter has come."
Penny just said, "Please, I've been doing this thing since 2004."
Penny then headed to Beach View Station, and coupled up to her coaches. Her first Railtour was to London. From there, she would go across the country, stopping at various stations where Santa Claus would be waiting for the children.
Penny was having a joy. One winter's evening, she was pulling out of the station. In her cab, her driver was told to go slowly, but the throttle was stuck, and not being pulled back.
Penny noticed she was going faster, and faster.
"What's going on back there?!" she asked her driver, but got no response.
The driver tried to get control, pulling the lever to get it to work but to no avail. She kept pulling and pulling but the lever snapped out of its place, and he hit the floor with the lever in his hand, the cotter pin jumping all over the place. "Jumping Jeepers! The throttle pin just sheered off!!"
Smokey stopped shoveling. "What?"
"The pin!"
"Where!?"
"THERE!!"
The driver accidentally hit the grate, and the pin fell through the grate.
"OH NO!!!"
"What are those two doing down there?" asked Penny. She looked at the scenery around her, and noticed she was in trouble: she couldn't get in contact with her crew, she was picking up speed, and she noticed she was heading towards the Lickey Incline.
"Oh dear."
Penny went down the gradient, and went faster, and faster!!
In her cab, Penny's crew were defying gravity, as the pin came out, the two tried to get it, but the driver accidentally swallowed it.
A diesel was currently taking a passenger train, when he heard a whistle.
He looked up, and saw that Penny was racing towards him, with no control.
"SWEET MOTHER OF GRESLEY!!!" he yelled, as he stopped, and Penny raced by, shaking the rails as she went by.
On Paradise Island, (Y/N) was getting ready to close up her office, when the phone rang.
"Oh, that phone," she said, "Always ringing when I don't want it to."
She picked up, and said, "Hello, Paradise Island Railway, (Y/N) speaking...... WHAT!?! THE POLAR EXPRESS!?! A RUN AWAY!?! GOING WHERE!?! Oh jeez!! I'll be there as soon as I can! I'll get one of my engines ready!!"
(Y/N) hung up, and ran towards the sheds, and woke up Dick.
"What? Oh, Ma'am, what is it?" asked the large Santa Fe Diesel.
"It's Penny!! She's a runaway, and she's carrying passengers!! We need to get to her location!! I know a quick route!"
Dick was now fully awake, and (Y/N) climbed into his cab, and they pulled out of the round house.
