One day, Gordon was talking to Tiny.

"You don't have to keep whistling like you're fit to burst!" he said, "I told this to Henry, now I'm telling this to you, it isn't wrong, but we-"

"In America," interrupted Tiny, "You have to be loud like that! There are many things that can drown out the whistle's sound now a days. So don't tell me how to approach a station."

Tiny then hissed Gordon, and puffed away.

Gordon was not happy. He didn't like the way engines would whistle or honk loudly in stations, despite being safety regulations. But Gordon didn't know that.

One day, there were workmen doing maintenance on the signals, so engines had to whistle to let them know they were coming.

Gordon was put on local trains today, and was waiting. When coming fit to burst, was Tiny.

Tiny puffed through slowly, as he had a green flag.

Gordon was not happy about this.

The other engines did the same, which was annoying Gordon a bit.

That morning at the big station, Tiny was backing down onto a local train, while Gordon was backing down onto the express.

"Tiny," said Gordon, "What was that I said about whistling?"

"I'm making sure that I'm heard!" said Tiny, "Popular to disbelief, engines can be very quiet."

"Pah," said Gordon, "Still no excuse to whistle like that. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. It isn't wrong but we just don't-"

"Gordon," said a stern sounding voice, "What did I say about bossing other engines?"

Gordon stopped, and saw (Y/N) looking at him.

"I.... Um, see......."

"Engines all have their own ways of whistling Gordon," said (Y/N), "It is no excuse to criticize others because of that. Now, you will be on Goods work, and you'll be whistling fit to burst to warn others. Maybe that will teach you not to be so arrogant towards other's whistles."

"Yes ma'am," said Gordon, as he uncoupled from the express.

After that, Gordon pulled express goods, and whistled to make sure he was heard, loudly. He felt indignant.

That night in the sheds, a voice said, "It isn't wrong to whistle like that, but we just don't do it."

The other engines laughed, while Gordon, just closed his eyes.
