The alarm clock went off for a long time.
He could hear it but he didn't have the will to get up yet. There wasn't an idea on what time it was but he didn't feel like waking up. The alarm clock did get annoying with how long it went off for. Mixed with the sun shining directly on his face, he slowly got more annoyed and finally gave up.
Sighing in defeat, he reached out his hand to turn it off. "Mhm...alright, I-"
His eyes shot open when his alarm clock suddenly exploded due to a chi blast being shot at it. That woke him up entirely and his entire body stood on the edge from it. He looked around to see who did it and his eyes rested on the girl sleeping on the floor still.
He almost forgot that the two were now living together. A weak smile appeared and he slowly got out of bed, kneeling down in front of her.
"Daikon?" He lifted her head slightly, not wanting to be rough with her. "Hey, you have to wake up..."
"Raimu?" Daikon responded groggily but then saw the smoke from the destroyed alarm clock, making her sit up. "What happened?! Is someone attacking us??"
"Uhm...Daikon?"
"Come on, we have to get out of here. It might be another member of the-"
"You destroyed it yourself, Daikon. You shot a chi blast at it."
She paused and then lowered her head with a large sweat drop running down it. "...Sorry, Raimu."
"Hey, don't worry!" He waved his hands and sat down in front of her. "That's what I've always thought of doing so thanks for that."
"I still have to owe you a lot...so I'll owe you for destroying your alarm clock, too."
"You don't have to owe me anything, remember? I'm owing you by letting you live here."
"Is that...alright, though?"
He slightly hesitated to continue talking. This house the two were in wasn't anything special but it meant so much.
They lived in the house he, Goten, and his mom used to live in.
He didn't want to leave the house behind so after having returned to the future, his present, he wanted to live in it still. The memories he had here still meant a lot to him and he didn't want to leave it behind. He also still needed to owe Daikon, so he offered to let her live with him. The idea of living alone after all of that didn't sit well with him. Besides, he felt like he'd never see her again if they weren't together.
Raimu realized he never answered her question and blinked. "Yeah, I think it's fine. We've technically been living together for years, yeah?"
"That was two years ago and because we were hiding but..." Daikon shrugged and didn't know how to answer. "I guess we have..."
"So it's just fine now."
"I'll still owe you for your alarm clock though."
"You don't have to, I swear! Let's just hurry and start training before it gets dark."
"Yeah, you're right." She grunted when standing up, fixing her hair slightly.
After Raimu got the clothes he wanted to change into and walked out the room to the bathroom so Daikon could change.
When in the bathroom, he took off his shirt but saw the mirror. He looked at himself in it and saw someone staring back at him. Unlike all the other times, he wasn't seeing Goten standing at him. His hair had been cut down and it was no longer as tangled as it used to be. It was still weird for him to see even after all this time.
