1994

Thom woke startled by the sound of the phone next to his bed ringing. He sat up quickly, breathing rapidly from how sudden it was. He eyed the phone, the tiny screen lighting up in unison to the blaring ringing. Thoms eyes went wide when he read the number. It was Colin.

Thoms breathing became even more rapid and his heart beat sped up. He wanted to cry, he wanted to scream, he wanted to let the phone ring until it stopped, but instead he reached a shaky hand forward, lifting the phone with hesitation and bringing it to his ear.

He let out a shaky breath and shut his eyes before answering. "Hello?" He asked softly, his voice rough from sleep.

There was another shaky breath on the other side of the phone and then a slight gasp. "Thom!?" Colin said loudly, almost so loud Thom had pull the phone away from his ear. "Thom! When did- How... I..." He started to stutter.

"Colin, wait, I know, I know its sudden-"

"This? Sudden? What was sudden was you leaving everyone behind! What the fuck man!?" He yelled, making Thom shudder. He never remembered Colin yelling, only hearing him get a bit stern with Jonny.

"I'm sorry, I'm so, so fucking sorry..." Thom started and Colin scoffed on the other end and prepared to speak again, but Thom cut him off. "Colin, listen, I know you probably hate me and want nothing to do with me, but please, I want to see you and talk to you. Not through the phone, but actually in person. After that you can kick me to the curb and never speak to me again." Thom spat out quickly, his breathing labored even more.

"I-" Colin started but stopped himself. He sighed through the phone and went silent for a few moments. Thom waited anxiously, waiting for Colin to speak again. "Alright, fine. I'll pick you up in five." He said and the line cut.

Well, its a start.

Thom sighed and rubbed his face, pulling and stretching his skin down a little as he dragged his hands back down. This can go two ways, either Colin talks to me and forgives me, or he screams in my face and tells me to off myself. Both are pretty possible outcomes right now.

Thom gets dressed quickly, throwing on jeans and a blue hoodie he randomly grabbed from his suitcase. He didn't have any proper looking clothes, but he never really had, so it didn't matter right now.

He ran his fingers through his hair and left his room, scattering down the stairs and towards the front door. He took a deep breath and stepped out to see a car driving full speed towards his house. It came screeching to a halt on the side if the road and Thom could make out Colin in the drivers seat.

When he steps out Thoms eyes widen. He had grown into his features more, his big brown eyes now sitting better with his features. He was taller, not super tall, but taller than Thom and taller than the last time he had seen him.

Thom takes a few steps forward towards Colin who is now charging towards him like a raging bull. "Coli-" Thom starts but is met with a fist to his face, knocking him back against the front for of his house with a painful grunt.

Thoms hand comes up to his face as he tastes the warm metallic substance slip between his lips and teeth. He removed his hand, seeing the streaks of blood that covered it. "Bloody fucking- yeah, alright, fine. That's fair." He collect himself and straightens up again, moving his eyes back to Colin but not in time to dodge the second fist flying at him.

He knocked back again, hissing in pain and holding the same side of his face that had now been struck twice. He tastes more blood, now from a busted lip, both inflictions much deserved.
