"Good morning, sunshine!" The door of the spare bedroom flew open, Colin standing in the doorway with a shit eating grin.

Thom startled awake, his head spinning when he opened his eyes, eliciting a low grumble from him as he rubbed his face. "Speak up, I can't hear you." He muttered with sarcasm lacing his voice. If he didn't already look and feel like shit, he now looked like he had just come out of the deepest hibernation.

"Thought I should get you up, yeah? Y'know it nearly noon." Colin clicked his tongue and walked away again, leaving Thom to grace over at the clock and curse himself for sleeping in so late. He muttered a few swears to himself before inevitably dragging himself out of the warmth of the sheets and out into the living room. He walked with his eyes barley open and if he didn't know the house like the back of his hand he would have done something completely embarrassing like crash into a wall and fall straight onto his ass.

He finally ended up slumping down not the couch and curling up, his eyes drifting closed again tiredly. "Ah! Nope, up!" Colin walked by, flicking him on the forehead which caused his head to pound.

"Fucking-" He grumbled and sat up again, running his hand lazily through his hair. "How did I end up here? Did I walk here?"

"With my help, yeah. Found you half dead at the bar a few minutes away and somehow got you here without too much trouble." Colin explained while pouring two mugs of coffee, sliding one toward Thom after a few moment. "I also noticed you have a pretty good mark there on your face. Ya got into a scuffle at the bar, I reckon?"

Thoms brows furrowed as his hand came up to the side of his face that Colin was eyeing, he pressed a few fingers against it and winched when a sharp pain split through his face, making his hangover headache worse. In that moment his face dropped. He remembered what it was from.

Colin noticed the very obvious drop of his features and sighed. "I'll take that as a no then. What happened?" He asked again, taking a sip of his coffee.

"Well, uh, t was Jonny who did it." Thom replied quietly.

Colin didn't look one bit surprised at that answer. "I warned you."

"But... but I didn't even have a chance to apolo-"

"Did you really expect him to just let yo walk back into his life just like that? You're mental." Colin laughed softly, making Thom look down in shame.

"No, I'm not saying that, but I guess I expected at least half a chance to explain myself." Thom replied, eliciting another sigh from Colin. "Colin, I mean it when I say I want to apologize to him and talk to him again. I don't want him to hate me anymore, I swear!"

Thoms voice grew louder when he spoke, feeling like Colin didn't believe him. He knew he was protective over his brother, that's why Thom never dared to tell him about his relationship with Jonny when they were younger, but he was grown now. He didn't need to watch over him all the time anymore.

"I know." Colin responded after a few moments, setting his mug down with a soft clink. "I know that, I do." He repeats again, a little more firm this time. "I just don't know if Jonny wants that."

Thom deflates a little bit at Colins response. He never really thought about it that way, stupidly enough. He had just been thinking about himself. Prick. Of course he was only thinking about himself, it's all he ever did. Fuck, maybe he wasn't getting better about thinking about others before him.

"I can try and talk to him for you if you want. I don't know if it will do any good or-"

"No, Colin, it's fine. I fucked up, not you. I need to talk to him." Thom cuts him off.
