One thing no one in Oxford would often expect to see in a bar is the reserved, "off his head"  town freak that was Jonny Greenwood. And they especially wouldn't expect to see him alone in said bar. He may not have known it, but he had a reputation of just being flat out strange. Since he practically disappeared after high school, most people would have assumed he was dead, that was until his human sunshine of a brother would come around and get questions thrown at him, to most of which he would answer with "Yes, he's still alive and doing just fine."

It was like he was a celebrity, only he didn't know it.

"What could possibly bring you into a bar today?" Ed asks with a little smile as he approaches Jonny who takes a seat at an empty bar stool.

Jonny dips his head down a bit, eyes barley visible behind his hair. He shrugs. "Nothing. Just bored." He replies, oblivious to the few weird glances he receives from the bar regulars.

Ed chuckles softly. "The Greenwoods are never bored, and if they are, they definitely don't seek fun in a noisy bar." Ed replies, his statement based off of far too much experience. He looks over Jonny for a moment and can see the faintest smile on his face. "You look happy." Ed smiles while pouring Jonny a drink, which he expects won't be touched much.

Jonnys already present smile grows a little wider at Eds remark. Jonny takes the drink but sort of slides it off to the side, obviously not very interested per usual Jonny fashion.

After no response, Ed presses on. "No, seriously, you're beaming. Whats going on with you?" Ed asks while getting to work on washing a few empty glasses.

"Nothing, I've just had a good past couple of days is all." Jonny replies, watching Ed work with ease.

"Bullshit, Jonny. Whats going on?" Ed continues to press. He may not know Jonny as well as used too, but he knows him enough to know he is lying to his face.

Jonny smiles softly. "I think me and Thom are becoming friends again." He says, his smile growing just a little wider.

Eds eyes widen. "Oh, really? Well, the last I heard about you two was when Thom stumbled into Colins house with his face bashed in, so you may need to update me." Ed widens his eyes before quickly rushing to tend to other raging customers who were being not-so-politely ignored while Ed talked with Jonny.

Fortunately but unfortunately, the bar isn't very busy today, meaning Ed has a bit more time on his hands to spend with Jonny, but he wont be reeling in much cash today. Jonny sits boringly for a few moments, his fingers idly tracing patterns on the glossy bar top while scanning the drinks behind the bar.

But if anything, his mind is only filled with Thom. He was so beyond happy that he had his friend back. Yeah, maybe he hated him for a while, but he couldn't hold a grudge against Thom for too long, right?

But at the same time, something about all this made him feel so weak. Maybe it was the fact that he had let Thom back so easily. Maybe it was because he was already so comfortable around him after he had been betrayed. Maybe it was because he could feel so many familiar emotions rise in his chest whenever he got to talk to Thom.

That was it. Thats what was the worst part about this all. Jonny never truly got over him, and now that Thom had settled back into his life like he never left, he was already just as attached as he was six years ago. It was a head fuck. All of this, a complete head fuck.

Ed slides a few drinks in the way of other customers before sighing and striding back over to where Jonny is, leaning against the bar and draping a towel over his shoulder before speaking. "Okay, catch me up on as much as you can in about..." He glances down at his watch and bites his lip. "...five minutes. The rest might have to wait until I'm off for the night." He says and glances over his shoulder to make sure his boss hadn't randomly decided to come check on him.
