Before the party even started, Jonny knew he had made a terrible decision to come. Not only did he not go to party very often in the first place, but now Thom was back, and even if they had made up yesterday, Jonny wasn't sure how true he was being when he said he accepted Thoms apology. He was far from feeling like they could be friends again, but for Thom sake, he had to at least pretend.

He dint arrive early, but he didn't arrive late. He got there just as people were finishing their first rounds of drinks, lunging for their seconds like wild dogs. He felt so out of place there and eyes landed on him as if to say 'Who is this? I've never seen him before'. It was true, most of the people here probably hadn't seen Jonny in a long time or not at all. Tipsy girls eyed him hungrily, and Jonny felt like he had walked into a cage of lions with a steak strapped to his chest. Guys also eyed him as if he would be the new punching bag of the party. Jonny felt extremely uncomfortable. But, he was here for a reason.

He crossed his arms over his chest as he very carefully maneuvered through the crowd, keeping his eyes hidden behind the hair that swept over his eyes. He didn't quite know where to g, but he felt himself walking towards thew kitchen, drawn in by familiar voices of the only people he trusted.

"Hey, Jonny! I didn't know you were coming tonight." Ed smiles and shuffles over to where he is, giving Jonny a rough pat on the shoulder that makes him flinch.

"Yeah, me neither." Jonny said with a nervous chuckle, lifting one hand to brush his hair out of his eyes just a little bit. It was to no avail as his hair just fell right back into place.

"It's good to have you around, mate. How's the music going?" Phil asks, walking over to him alongside Colin who gives a sweet smile to his little brother.

If he was honest, we would have said 'well, I haven't done much song writing because I have been so focused on the fact that Thom is back and I can't seem to get out of my own head now' but instead, he replies with "Alright, I guess." With a shrug and a gentle smile.

"Well, that's better than terrible." Phil shrugs as well, taking a sip of his beer and looking up at Ed who looks likes he's biting his tongue. Jonny looks up at him, furrowing his dark brows at the sight of Ed literally biting back the words he wanted to say.

"Have you talked to Thom yet?" He asks, receiving a glare from Colin and making Phil close his eyes in embarrassment.

Jonny, however, manages to keep his facial expressions on the down low. He only told Colin about their first interaction so far, not the second or third, which he felt guilty for, but he also knew Colin didn't want the two of them around each other right now. So, Jonny offers the smallest smile imaginable before replying.

"Yeah, I saw him last week." He says quietly.

"Told you so." Colin mutters to Ed before turning around and walking away, presumably to grab another beer.

Phil rolls his eyes and follows as well, leaving just Ed and Jonny standing there in an uncomfortable silence.

"Sorry, I just... I've seen him a few times and he had said he wanted to talk to you." Ed explains, looking down like he was guilty of a petty crime.

"It's alright." Jonny replies and watches as Ed turns around to follow the other, giving Jonny a look that suggested he follow as well.

Jonny sighs, about to take up the offer, that is until he hears is name being called from a few feet away, a familiar voice he would have wished he could have forgotten, but with the events of this past week, he couldn't help but get back in contact.

"Jonny, mate." The man approaches him, hands shoved in his pockets awkwardly.

"Aaron." Jonny greets back, looking behind him to make sure that other had walked away by this point. If he was going to do this, he needed to be more careful than last time.
