The first thing Sofia felt upon her awakening the next morning was the insufferable pounding in her head. She groaned at the bright fluorescent lights that were present above her head and almost instantly shoved a pillow over her face to shut them out.

After reluctantly lifting the pillow from her face, she turned to the left to find her phone but was met with 2 Advils and a RedBull alongside a sticky note that read: youre welcome u lazy shit, nika :) + p.s. u have some explaining to do!! u and paige last night??

Sofia sighed and mentally cursed who she was last night. She may have been drunk but that interaction with Paige wasn't one that she could just shake off. But then again, she was drunk, and so was Paige. Nothing said by either of them mattered, right?

But something about last night when Paige and her hugged set something off in her brain. Perhaps nostalgia. She hadn't realized how much she missed Paige and her presence until she finally had a taste of it for some time.

Sofia attempted to shake off the feeling she had right now, downing the Advils given to her by Nika with the help of the RedBull. She stood up, stretching her body before walking to her closet to change into a pair of shorts and a hoodie.

As Sofia got to work on her makeup, it pained her that the only thought that seemed to cross her mind today was Paige. Paige, Paige, Paige, Paige, Paige. That's all it was.

How Paige's hair looked last night. What about how her eyes sparkled, how her expensive jewelry reflected off of the bright lights, how her ass- no.

No, no. Sofia was not going to have another thought about Paige, and that was final. She turned on some music, hoping that singing along would give her brain a distraction. But every single fucking song reminded her of Paige; Love Language by SZA, Feel It by Jacquees, Nobody Gets Me by SZA, every song.

Sofia groaned, shutting the music off and rushing the end of her routine before spraying some of her favorite perfume, Black Opium, and heading out the door with her phone.

The walk to Azzi's room wasn't far; just down the hallway. Sofia seriously needed someone to talk to about this, and Nika was nowhere to be found. However just as the girl was about to barge in, she reminded herself that Azzi's dorm was also Paige's dorm.

"Fuck my life," Sofia muttered to herself before pushing the door open.

When she opened the door, Nika was aggressively hitting Azzi's leg, "That's exactly what I was thinking! When Sof-" Nika's sentence was cut short when she heard the door open and saw no other than Sofia herself standing there.

Sofia scanned the room briefly and to her surprise, Paige was nowhere to be found. Thank the Lord. "Oh good morning to you guys too!" Sofia exclaimed sarcastically, taking a seat criss-crossed beside Nika. "So, what're we talking about?" She asked, giving Azzi and Nika a fake smile.

Azzi smirked, "Nothing, just you and Paige last night? Hello?!"

Sofia's eyes narrowed, "Hi. Nothing even happened, why are you guys fangirling?"

Nika's jaw dropped, " 'Nothing happened?' Girl I saw the way you looked at her when you said that you didn't deserve to be the #1 high school recruit in the US. I saw her confess whatever it was that she said and then her crying on your shoulder. Do you like- think we're stupid or something?"

Sofia knew Nika was right, something definitely happened. But why on Earth would she admit to that?

"So?" Azzi urged.
